I do use Merb accounts to screen sometimes, but it has nothing to do with how ''well known'' the reviewer is, it's his overall attitude that matters. There are guys here I'd never see even if they have a big name.. Some, I'll see even if I don't see eye to eye with them all the time because I can tell they are a kind person above all things. I used to think a guy being on Merb was a red flag, but I don't really see it that way anymore. A lot of girls won't take a merb handle for screening because it doesn't prove anything. I do it tho.. I know a few other providers who do it as well.

Obviously if the guy just has 10 posts I'm going to ask for more information.. What I mean is that I'm not impressed by someone being a ''merb celebrity'' so to speak.. But if the guy has posted a lot I can tell several things about his personality just based on how he is writing

Never. In fact, some agencies and SPs connected the dots and know my merb username and I do not like it.

I've heard of too many stories of merb members extorting reviews for sessions. Or posting made up reviews. I don't want to be associated with that.
Same mentality as the "influencer" with his "following" think that his reviews is worthy of free meal or freebies.

As someone mentioned before, i can use it when i meet new indys for screening processes.
I rarely mention it to agencies but they often know who you are if you're here.
It can be a double-edged sword as well, being active on the board is not necessarily a good thing for SWers
