I don't think it's a correct analogy personally. Not being able to have sex wont have the same consequences on your life than not having power or plumbing.

I know your post wasn't about a spur of the moment decision to book her which is why I think the analogy is even more strange in this context.

I'm really sorry this SP was stringing you along and I can assure you that not everyone will have this attitude in the industry. Obviously after discussing it in depth it's upsetting that the booking was cancelled several times. I cannot apologize enough if my comments offended you. :)

I hope you have good experiences in the future with other ladies who will not cancel or at least not string you along like this.
The intent of the analogy was not to equate sex with another profession, but rather to underscore the importance of reliability and respect in customer service.

And I agree with you a 100 percent that SP's have to be as professional as possible when their safety is guaranteed, I never said otherwise.

Have a fantastic Sunday.

I am running into a pickle right now. I was requested a booking ahead of time and I committed.

Now my family changed their mind and want the dinner during my booking. I struggle mentally as I don’t get to meet them often. It’s partly the bad planning on my mom but will commit to client.

You’d have to understand that we do have regular life too and this balance of work-life balance is a struggle for us too.

You're a service provider—no different from a plumber, electrician, hairdresser, or mechanic. Life happens, and when it does, the standard response is to reschedule and offer a courtesy discount for the inconvenience. That’s basic customer service. Blaming your mother while seeking validation here for a last-minute cancellation, and assuming the rest of us don’t understand what a regular life looks like, isn’t a productive approach.

I'm not defending this person, I don't even know who she is. I've said many times I don't approve of how this person is acting. :) I never said this behaviour is acceptable.

I was just trying to figure out the situation and why someone would keep trying to book the same person who's constantly canceling, because OP asked why such thing would happen, then I tried to explain to someone else why someone wouldn't feel comfortable telling a client he made her uncomfortable. (Which was a tangent)

Also I'm sorry but a dude being horny isn't the same as needing an electrician because the power isn't working at your house. I don't know why you're making this analogy.

I never canceled multiple times on a client or asked anyone to book many weeks ahead lol. Nor do I feel jaded or put less effort into my presentation compared to when I first started. I don't really understand why you're putting us all in the same category. None of us is putting the blame on OP, read the thread carefully and notice how I said several times that I don't know him and my answers have nothing to do with him.

All I'm saying is if somebody just keeps cancelling on you, there's no point in continuously trying to book the person, and you can move on to a different SP who will gladly see you. :) hope you have a nice day.

For me this is just a lesson to continue avoiding this board aside from posting my ad because I don't feel like this is serving me.
My SP never cancels even in snow storms and drives to me!

Professionally you received good comments. But personally if your client doesn't understand ... he's not worth your time and can be replaced. Your Mom ... you only have one.

I've had a bunch of providers of different types of services cancel appointments because of important events, snow storms, family emergencies, sickness etc. .. Including my therapist and family doctor. Just saying.

My SP never cancels even in snow storms and drives to me!
Good for you! I rarely cancel but we're human beings. I've had to reschedule bookings a small number of times because I was sick. It wouldn't have been a pleasant experience for my client, particularly if he caught the flu from me and had to miss an entire week of work, or if he had to see me while I am not feeling good physically and not able to perform.

Idk why this thread is being revived.
These comments are becoming off topic, it was about a specific person cancelling several times.

When Chuck Norris meet an escort, they are the one paying him and booking him :p

Lol sorry but that line just reminded me of a Chuck Norris joke.

I think i may be able to chim in on that one. Personally im always horny Cap (lol yeah its a Hulk reference in Avengers :p) so its not really an issue for me. Lol Joke aside being from out of town, booking only a few times a year yada yada (said that many times) i have to plan so im never calling in a "spur of the moment" but i had several guys over the years mention this to me that pre-booking too in advance just don't work for them. They need to be "horny" that day. In the mood if you prefer. Kinda like you sometimes wake up and think "man i would so eat a big Bacon Poutine today" and its not something you usually plan a week in advance like "on that day im going to that restaurant and ordering this".

I can understand where they coming from to a degree. Because even myself there is days i feel more "horny" than others. Like il spend more time on "the hub" and use more kleenex if you know what i mean than on other days. But at the same time i totally understand SPs are not Pizza delivery peoples, you can't call and expect them to arrive in 30 minutes or less (lol).

What i mean is i get both side of the argument. I think if i lived in Montreal and was comfortable financially, i would probably mix the 2. I would still pre-book some peoples but sometimes just wake up and look who's available that day and text right away to reserve.

There's no argument, I think if someone doesn't want to do pre-bookings, it's their choice and they can pick someone who takes same day or last minute appointments or contact someone when they say they're available. :)

Sure but here the conversation was more around "she does take same day appointements but may cancel them" or something off that line. Obviously if someone absolutely request 24h advance (or more) then its fine, its different story.

Unbelievable how some things here get to be blown way out of proportion at times. In the last subject proposed we see the dilemma of Easter meal with Mom.

Let's be honest here, we're not talking about a rocket scientist calling off a launch at the last minute. We are talking about a dick objectively, and who knows maybe even in some cases subjectively, that at the worst may have to reschedule. Oh what horror.

But wait, there may be a ray of hope … just wacky one off and blow your load and with it, the frustration.

There you go sport, little Johnny will be all soothed and good to go for another day.

But it all makes fun reading . . .

I wish there was a barf emoji lol. This is a "brain rotted by porn" take. I'd be livid if someone suggested, even as a joke, a duo with my mother. :S Please don't sexualize our moms and don't project your incest fantasies onto us and our actual families - this is so disturbing
