Continuos SP Cancellations and Your Time

Well this was a wild read at times...
I've had SPs cancel on me. Once 15 mins before the meeting. Since I live out of town it was irritating. But that's life. I just never booked them again ‍♂️.
They had their reasons but it happened more then once so that's done with
And as I've said in other threads, I don't like deposits since I got canceled on and was never refunded and they wouldn't transfer the balance to anything else.

I'm sure they have reasons for canceling but if it doesn't mesh with you then no one is forcing you to ever book again with them

I love dark humor too, but not when it involves real people/real situations. There's a difference between making jokes about a mother/daughter duo and directly telling an escort about a duo with her mom. Like I can joke all day about fucking people's dad's but you probably wouldn't like it as much if I told you that you can bring your (adult) child or your father with you for an appointment. Jokes about death can be funny too, but it wouldn't be funny if your cousin died and someone made a joke about specifically your dead cousin. Kidnapping jokes can be funny, but if you start joking that you'll kidnap a specific person it won't be very funny either. That's how I see it - dark humor is only funny when it's not aimed at a very specific person or situation.

To you it's a joke but as an escort on the receiving end it's weird as fuck for someone to joke about us sharing a dick with our mother.

SPs cancelling has become epidemic recently, at least in my experience. Excuses range from "i'm sick", "my pet is sick"....lol, "i have a family emergency", yada yada yada. About a third of my bookings are cancelled. It's frustrating because in all my years doing this I don't remember cancelling once!

I know there are some clients who set up the appointment, then last minute start trowing in curveballs asking for things that are not to the providers taste, that will get them canceled because it makes the provider uncertain and feeling unsafe to see the client. Some will make up excuses, others will tell them straight out when asked why they have been canceled.

Lol... but my guess is if your getting that many cancelations, your finding them on LL. Reputable providers will try not to cancel if they can avoid it.

Hmm sounds with all the frustration and cancellations, the pattern sounds like what happened to Uber. On rainy days, NYC cab drivers meet their quota and thus, would end their day early as there are no incentives to continue working. So Uber was created.

So a SPs who less available would allow rates to go up. That’s only a hypothetical theory.

Yes many times. Since I was booking in Montreal during the HDH era I dealt with it by (a) recognizing I was getting beat by guys spending for longer bookings; (b) development of plans B, C, D and E etc.; and (c) moving on (see (b)).

I never "laid my foot down" because you have no leverage to do so in this situation. It's a total waste of time and energy.

It's possible yes, but not likely. More likely your bookings just got beat by longer bookings. An SP will never come out and tell any client "hey dude you got fucking beat by an overnight." It's never going to happen so you need to fast forward to reality. Getting beat happens and you just gotta live with it.

This made me smile. It happened to me twenty-some years ago in Dallas. I had booked two hours with one of the popular Dallas escorts and was excited for it. My first time in Dallas. Nice hotel. That afternoon she called and apologized but said that one of her regulars had flown her for the weekend to some island, and she couldn't say no to him. I was enormously disappointed but I couldn't blame her, even in the moment. And I knew she could have called in sick. I thought it was cool of her to fess up. I have actually had a favourite of mine text me that she just got an offer of an overnight booking and would I mind if we could reschedule our get together for the following day or the day after. She did also say that if I can’t she will honour our appointment and decline the overnight.

We rescheduled for the next day same time, she is a friend and honest and it made sense for her not to lose a much more lucrative booking.
It was no big deal and I am glad she is comfortable enough with me to just ask me and tell me the truth.

It's one thing when it's a regular, if it's someone you just saw once such honesty would be quite rare (see talking head post). With some very high end HDH ladies, it's always a case of the highest bidder.

I usually found out from the "booker" that was used by these indies, rather than the ladies themselves, that I had gotten outbid.

It is not victim blaming. An appointment not working out does not make you a victim. Being scammed out of a deposit does, but not getting to meet someone you were looking to meet does not a victim make.

And was the reason I canceled on 2 people, the very day I wrote that. It isn't an excuse when in my situation that day, it was the reason.

Also i only stated a reason why some might, I didn't say that was your situation either. I might have responded to your message, but you're also not the only one on this forum, and was a point out for others who might be reading and wondering why they are being canceled on. And to learn from others errors.

Only part that had any assumption directly to you, was that they likely came from LL. Which on this forum often seems to be the case. I will take my holier-than-thou attitude and eat it for that part, but the rest was not directed to you specifically. This is a public forum and comments are given out to the masses not you alone.

But yes we all have lives, and there are 1,000,000 reasons and excuses why plans don't happen. Often just means, didn't work out, move on, and pick someone else next time.

I was using LL as an ecuse on your part why they would cancel on you, rather than assuming what I was going threw that day, was what was happening to you.

After reading many of your posts, I have a new appreciation of ladies in your line of work. Truly. And it is not an east thing to say. I would have to say my approach previously was, to say the least, improper. I thank you for all your candid comments. My eyes were opened. Sadly you do the south shore, which for me may as well be Albany. Just a bit far, but i am sure it would be worth the trip. Stay Safe!

i was under the impression that you were south shore based. Do you offer incall in Montreal (anywhere but downtown, as the roads are like a war zone)?

Personally my only issue is that there is no "equivalence" in this business.

If you are a client and cancel : You are the bad guy or/and you lose deposits. Hey i agree with that... Its how it should be.

But if you are the SP and cancel : Oh well tough luck budy ... better chance next time...

I know there is some gymnastic saying "its our business, while you do that for fun" wich ok... i can at least understand the reasoning. But if a client goes out of his way to book you, like pay travel, pay hotel, reserve his time... is it ok to just be like "im sorry bud... can we reschedule".

I dunno... for me it kinda feel "not right". Should a discount the equivalent of a deposit be applied next time he schedule and it work?
