Thank you for that input. It had me go read up and educate myself on something I never even knew was concidered inappropriate. But was glad to see that there were other words available to better describe it without being insensitive. My favorite is familiar, which I identify with in gaming anyways.

What more precautions can you take against E Coli than cooking or pasteurizing the food? It's in the animal. Contamination can come from raw beef too, I am not sure why it seems different since we consume raw beef all the time? (edit: I read that poultry is more often contaminated with salmonella than beef).I would try it. Afaik only specialized places do it and takes all the precautions to prepare it, kinda like fugu places.
