It's amazing to me that anyone who has had the opportunity to experience and observe the differences between male and female behavior in the world of prostitution could still believe that sex is a "social construct" as opposed to a basic biological reality. Then again, people will believe in all kinds of absurd ideas despite all evidence to the contrary.
Are you defining sex just in its basic state, where its only purpose is reproduction?
Sex among people has evolved, and reproduction is maybe the lowest objective. It has become a "social construct" as it is being defined by the individuals involved. While preferences where divided between heterosexual and homosexual, we now see the emergence of bisexual and pan sexual. Sex is emancipating and breaking all biological barriers.

I never thought that I would live to see the day when I could say that I agree wholeheartedly with Germaine Greer on any issue related to women or sex. And yet, here we are on the same page. :D

Just because Germaine Greer adopts a trans exclusionary position, it doesn't make it right. Why not just let Trans people define themselves ? Why does everyone feel the need to impose their view of gender/sexual orientation etc. on any other individual? It's seems narcissistic to want everyone to conform.

They should be able to identify themselves and so on, but it does become a tricky issue in things such as sports - as we've seen numerous times. It's something Greer has also touched on.
