Because people rarely really want to hear what others think of them.
And for the reviews of some merbists, they count on their anonymity to get away with bad behavior, and use their merb status to attempt to manipulate providers and push boundaries.
I will say I have been fortunate that the merbist I have met have been mostly pleasures to have spent time with. Don't know most of their usernames, (probably for the better for some), but have had a few I refused to see as well.
Besides... Don't bite the hand that feeds you.
You don't like every day at your job, we go threw the same sometimes. If the SP is having a bad day but doesn't show you in person, would you want to read about it later as a reaction to your visit? You wouldn't call her back even if you enjoyed every part of the visit.
LoL and I am reminded at this moment of a memory. Refusing to see someone again while telling him I didn't like seeing him as a client, while he still begged me to come back again. Guess for some it's hard to turn them off you, if they like you.
