I wonder why NDG and others would be have so few violations per capita
The image didn't upload. I'll try again.I made a data analysis project where I try to find insight into food establishment violation patterns and I see if I split Montreal into 20 neighborhoods what neighborhoods have the most and least violations per number of restaurants (that way it doesn't just show the neighborhood with the most restaurants as having the most violations). I wonder why NDG and others would be have so few violations per capita while Griffintown, Little Italy, and others would be around the top. Little Italy was second place. Villeray is in 4th place. I'm surprised Little Italy and Villeray two neighborhoods I've lived in are in the top 4.
Thank you for the suggestion!I know someone told me there was a huge rat problem in NDG so maybe restaurant owners are extremely careful because of that
Maybe you can create another thread so we don't pollute this oneThe image didn't upload. I'll try again.

But I think all the regular, average, restaurants had something at some point, I don't know? I have never been sick from a restaurant, most places are OK, I'm good.So about the MAPAQ, I remember reading a review to my ex about his favourite crepe place. It said something like: des rats en décomposition ont été trouvés au sous sol
He nearly threw up

I have been doing a data project on this for the past 24 hours and most food establishments in Montreal have never had a health violation. If you want I could show some insights like the repeat violators and other outliers. The data is really interesting. But I think all the regular, average, restaurants had something at some point, I don't know? I have never been sick from a restaurant, most places are OK, I'm good.
I have to do more work in my project to differentiate chains and individual establishments so my work isn't finished yet.But I think all the regular, average, restaurants had something at some point, I don't know? I have never been sick from a restaurant, most places are OK, I'm good.

I agree. I made a fire department data project too and I imagine in terms of tiny fires like people who put the wrong thing in the microwave usually don't get reported though at one place I have worked outside of Montreal we have had 1 or 2 evacuations a year for someone microwaving something they shouldn't have. Any suggestions for a cool Montreal or Quebec data project?Though I wonder how many of those are just not reported - idk how to explain. The same way the number of convictions in a given city isn't representative of the actual number of crimes committed within that city. You feel me? Just because a restaurant didn't get caught/doesn't have official violation records doesnt mean they never had any issue

I'll have to make a guess based on my graphs. I don't remember elevators being specified. What happens if someone calls 911 because they’re stuck in an elevator and fire fighters come to their rescue? Where does it fall?

I hope you haven't been trapped in an elevator though I have a vague memory of you or someone else here mentioning being trapped in an elevator

I hope they're ok emotionally. I feel that would be traumatic for some people. Maybe the most relevant visualization of Montreal would be a data visualization of hotels. Like price patterns of SW friendly vs non SW friendly establishments.I know Josephine in Toronto was stuck on the elevator or her building and I’ve heard of someone who was stuck not too long ago
