Don't know where "the public" lands on this, but IMO the only way to enjoy anal is to adequately prepare before penetration (especially if girth is above average).

If you've never tried on yourself, you can't appreciate the difference between "prepared" vs "unprepared" and that is no fun for anyone.

I've the same understanding. But the try is more to get a better understanding at it before doing it on someone so it's more enjoyable for the receiver.

As a side note on this fascinating topic, i'm among the people who think we should try anal play before asking for it, it gives more perspective and probably more clues about how to handle it. Not sure i'm in the majority on this one

I don't disagree with you honestly, even if it's not for everyone. I can offer it on someone if they enjoy it and I've definitely tried it many times and never liked it, but I know how to avoid hurting someone and I'm well aware of all the rituals around it
