I don't want to write a paragraph or even less a novel because much has already been said about it, but when you stop and think real hard about it, modern life is a disease. Stated differently, modernity does not equate progress.
I believe you just nailed the real problem. Same for CostcoThis one really annoys me. All the grocery stores when they advertise the price per weight, it could be vegetables or meat, it is always advertised in big signs the price in pounds but on the cash they charge in kilogram. I find that highly deceptive because to the layman it appears much cheaper. You see tomatoes and it appears cheap but it is not as you did not get the price in kilogram which is charged at the cash. It is a pet peeve and really annoying. The price per kilogram is written in fine print. They need to pass some law to ban these deceptive practices.
I hate Costco's ads where they write in big font the savings and trick your brain to think it's the product price whereas the price is written in little font at the bottomView attachment 115035
You think everything costs few dollars only
I forgot to post this. This deposit system is so annoying and it got very complicated since they upped it to 10 cents. Each time I went to return at the grocery stores there was often a homeless with a huge bag and only one machine so I had to wait very long. But these last six months a lot of the machines at the grocery stores were out of service. Some of those machines remained out of service for weeks and I knew they were doing it on purpose. They did not want to deal with this. This the only province with the deposit system, no other province does this. This should be scrapped. Let people recycle like plastic and paper to throw it in bins. It was nice when I used to live in Toronto not having to store bags of empty cans in my house.I am pissed off that come May 1st, I will have to go to the new designated drop-off place for my empty cans and bottles, as opposed to the nearest grocery stores.
Talk about making life difficult.
I feel you ... a McDonald’s flawless experience sucks. They are supposed to throw the fries in the bag with a « fuck that job » attitude so you find a couple more hidding underneath the napkin. I thought it was part of the basic training. So, I went to McDonald's for lunch, on the go.
Fries, quarter pounder and a drink. As I drive, I eat the Fries out of the bag first, then eat the burger. My rant today is, after the burger, I always look forward to some Fries left over in the bag, well today there were none. I was not happy.
My OCD is to eat or pickup those out of the box first ... So I have a very neat ones IN the box lolI feel you ... a McDonald’s flawless experience sucks. Honestly unless you're a relentless consumer of returnable bottles I don't understand why people bother at all. I feel like people never put a price on their own time and consequently undervalue themselves and the use of their day. When I lived in Vancouver you had to go to these bottle return depots as well. They stank of sour beer all the time, they were frequently busy with the shopping cart can and bottle collectors which sometimes meant a long'ish wait and at the end of the process the average person would leave with somewhere between $2-10 after saving their bottles at home for a month. I always figure my time was worth more than the hassle of saving and returning the cans and bottles for the pittance I received so I'd just dump then into the recycle bin or leave them in a bag outside for the nearest "collector" to pick up. After doing the experience a couple of times I just said to hell with it because there was no value to me in participating in the system and I had better things to do that offered a greater return on my time.I forgot to post this. I would have put a laughing emoji if this had not been directed at meI believe you just nailed the real problem. The dude is thinking when he's "real hard".
When the government put a levy on it and you have to return it to get back your money ... It's just psychological.Honestly unless you're a relentless consumer of returnable bottles I don't understand why people bother at all. I just give mine to local sports team, or the homless dudes that need that money, a lot more then I do.
I can afford Bubly's, they cant.
Leave it in your driveway, see how fast they dissapear.

I don't know, but I sure as hell want too...(How often can I write OCD in a single post? Lol)
Today's bitching : OCD is a psychiatric term that far too many people misuse as just another word to say "quirk". A quirk is not OCD and OCD is not a quirk. Chances are the vast majority of people who claim "my OCD makes me do this and that" do not in fact have OCD, because the things they typically say are due to their OCD do not align with actual OCD symptoms.
(How often can I write OCD in a single post? Lol)
Shall I reword my post then?My OCD is to eat or pickup those out of the box first ... So I have a very neat ones IN the box lol
I separate them from my other recyclyngs, place them in a transparent bag and leave it on the curb on collecting day. Homeless grabs them very quickly.I give mine away to homeless people or friends who need them more than I do, too! I personally can't be arsed to wait in line or bring them anywhere for that matter.
