Again I have encountered another SP that insisted I call back with an unblocked number before she would accept an appointment. I called back with my number blocked, and I told her it was unblocked. She said she could no see my number, I told her too bad, maybe next time. I will not put up with crap like this. Would you?

Shoob, it's all about the girl's security. Some will also refuse calls from payphone and some will not even answer blocked calls so, you were in luck she picked up the phone.
If she fall on a psycho who cause her trouble, she need to have a way to point whoever in the direction of the problem.
Also, lots of idiots simply book fake appointments, wasting the girl's time and sometime money to go to meetings that the guy never planned to attend to. A phone number cuts down on this since not many jokers will buy a prepaid phone simply to do that.
It's sad for us the girls have to proceed that way but, they are responsible for their own safety. All we can do is either accept that policy or not. Mentioning this is the girl's policy is ok but, complaining about it isn't doing any good: she set the rules, we accept or not, end of story.

I don't think this practice is unusual so I am not sure why you are complaining. Most indies do not deal with blocked numbers for security reasons. If you were in their shoes can you really blame them?

I do not see how an unblocked number can be any safer than a blocked number. Anyone can get a hobby phone.
I wouldn't want to do business with someone who is obviously lying, would you?

IMHO.....Why some SP's refuse to do business with men who call privet...
-There are men who call your phone every single day, maybe multiple times a a day to ask for "information", have absolutely no intention on booking, to hear your voice, maybe jerk off, mostly just to waste your time... this includes payphones... Payphones you might as well be calling privet, same thing.
-Some say security, because if anything happens to the lady, the last client number will be on her phone(way to "track" him)
-Incalls- This is the WORST part of doing incalls.. Guys who call book an appointment, and instead of being a decent human being and calling to cancel, he just decides he's not showing up, Or he never had any intention on showing up in the first place. And sometimes these guys will do this to you over and over and over! Resulting in losing real business
Calling unblocked is a way for the Sp to know that you are serious about meeting and not some jerk trying to mess around with her time. No SP wants to call you and harass you, or your family. We want men to know that we will take all precautions to avoid Jerks who have nothing better to do then harass us. Most SP's, If you would need to cancel(understandable things come up), just call and do that, you will be welcome to book at a later date.... Don't call to cancel.. and you betcha you will be black listed!

and with what happen to me yesterday I will not accept again to meet someone who swear he doesnt have a cell phonef course in this case it is only another reason for me to refuse 35 years old guys:yes another one who booked and never showed up...I waited 15 min and emailed him but never got a return message or apology...
I know whenever I refuse a younger guy I get accused of ageism(!) but my statistics do not lie: 8 out of 10 young guys are not keeping thier meeting and I am not talking about the ones who has the decency to cancel ,those are not blacklisted but just no-show no calls...as for the over 35 only ONCE in 2 years since I started this ..hum..hobby it happened that I waited for nothing...I am not much of a number person but I can do the math...Ah well..it takes a while but I do learn my lesson... loll

It's pretty much standard practice from my experience and I understand the need from their point of view. I'm surprised she even answered, and considering your following attitude and behavior, she obviously shouldn't have bothered. She hasn't said hello and you're already difficult. Their working conditions can be hazardous so I don't see why you can't give them these bits of reassurances.
This is an international practice. Garotas in Brazil don't answer phones calls when they cannot identify the numbers or the caller.
Lovemaker, it's because the lucky bastard is over there having fun with the garotas and he's not missing an occasion to brag about it... LOL!!

For some of them, you are going to their place, it is only normal that they leave some kind of temporary security trace in case something were to happen. God forbid, but it's been known to happen.
Hell, at home, I don't even answer blocked numbers myself, so I really don't think this is such a big deal.
And to be a little paranoid about it, I would trust most indies much more with my phone number than some of the agencies-- not all, but some...

You know, there are still a few of us around who don't have cell phones. I don't like being bothered by my employer when I'm not at work, so I don't have one. I like being out-of-touch. Telegraph ... I mean e-mail ... is my preferred mode of communication.
I'm really flattered by your comments. I don't feel young but am glad to see that someone would still classify me as such for another year.
My carrier is Virgin Mobile. Apparently, I can change phone number at will. This can be done from the internet. No questions asked. No fee. No nothing. Supposedly, I can change number once a day, everyday, as long as I subscribe to the service.
I've never tried it though.
