The Montreal hobbying scene collapsed during covid
Been hobbying for 40+ years and it's never been this bad.
That includes Street Walker days of the 70s and 80s.
Impossible to find escorts under 22 (highest demand) at any price.
*****
Why?
1. Covid masking traumatized young adults.
Younger Canadians now increasingly regard each other as potential dirty, disease ridden threats.
Less sex, less drinking, less partying.
Smile at a Quebec girl today and you get a suspicious look.
That was never the case.
2. Agencies refuse to hire young girls.
- Rosters are filled with older (listed at 25-35+ ladies) who are not getting booked.
- Newly hired young girls (anyone who can pretend to be under 25) get fully booked immediately.
- However the new girls are hard to work with, and the jealousy they inspire among existing talent make it hard for agencies to deal with them.
3. Tourism is good, but average age is increasing
Older tourists and older Canadians don't hobby as much.
4. It's the economy stupid.
Escorting is sticky. Most hobbyists will cut everything else before they cut their girls.
That said, consumers are strapped.
Prices are way up.
Far higher than governments are saying.
5. Demographics - it's not getting better any time soon.
There is a clear lack of young entry level workers.
That applies to all fields.
Even the sex industry.
******
TLDR: Barring major unforeseen developments, Montreal is finished as a top hobbying/sex destination for at least a decade.
Time to start travelling again.
