What happend to the scene in Montreal?

I have been out of the country for ~ 7 years and just came back for a visit. It's a total disaster.

Asian agencies were a bit hit-or-miss before. But the prices were ok. Now, the prices are at, or above, market rates, yet the quality is nowhere to be seen.

Indie market on LL is complete trash, basically just all scams, and everyone who's even remotely good-looking has terrible reviews here.

Haven't tested the well-known agencies yet, but the ladies also don't look very appealing, and all reviews are mixed, if you read between the lines.

I've travelled to many countries, and I am not talking "third world"; even in the EU, the girls there are younger, fitter, more fun, and, most importantly, much cheaper. Even in Geneva, one of the most expensive places in Europe, the girls are half the price and actually provide good service, are easy to book, and host in nice places.

What happened? Is it OF driving away girls from this trade? Is it just that the economy in Canada is not so great that girls go for greener pastures? It's really puzzling.

I also have travelled and I certainly don’t think Geneva is cheap. It’s at least the same price if not more than Montreal. The biggest difference is that 30 minutes service is readily available if that’s your thing

It's been discussed before here. (I don't want to bring rates into the discussion). The landscape was altered after the pandemic. OnlyFans may or may not be a factor (most likely not in 2026). Young adults are staying longer with their parents. Smartphone/social media addiction is having a *massive* impact on the younger generations. Levels of sexual activity are trending down. Anxiety is trending up. Obesity is up. Levels of physical activity are stagnant or down.

These are generalizations, but I haven't come across more convincing explanations for the perceived decline in the quality of the whole experience pre- vs post-pandemic.

The nature of the clients changed. A lot are accepting below standard service and are fine paying a lot more (the need for the service is high). It is this dynamic of the clients needing the service more then the SWs need the money that made the market bad and do not forget about Bill C-36 which changed the game forever in favor of the girls. Day by day the scene is getting more and more like the US.

Geneva half the price doesn't seem likely. Spain has the lowest rates and at agencies they were around 170-180 euro which is about $270cdn. And there girls were complaining the rates were too low and wanting to go to Switzerland. And in Europe you risk more issues with trafficking from Eastern Europe and Latin America. Checking now it seems that some rates have dropped to 100 euro/$160cdn, but a bunch of places still at around 200 euro. But that must be within the last 3 months. From what I understand, Europe was heavily dependent on tourists and not locals and with increased costs of living, fewer people are traveling especially the "rich" in Europe that mainly consisted of the French, Germans and a few Brits.

Prices are dependent on supply and demand, and even at $270 and minus agency/house fees, working 3-4 hours a week can net a girl $15k minimum to $20k per month, which is closer to $200k/year and more if they do indy outside agency and have OF, sugar or find a millionaire bf. And given that you can start at 18 and work to 30-35, that's a decent chunk of change.

I think like with many services, the general sentiment is one of decay in quality and a feeling of lack of value.

If you compare barbers, mechanics, dentists, therapists of all sorts, waiters in restaurants, and the list goes on, the value has drastically decreased.

But I'm not sure if it's as bad in the hobby.
20 years or so ago I recall that a 1hour session at a regular incall was 120 or 140.
Today you're looking at 260 to 300.

Regarding quality I think that Europe tends to spoil hobbyists. I was in Prague last year and I had the best session ever in a premier establishment for roughly 200 CAD for 1 hour.

Of all of Europe, where would you say the best experience to be right now? Would you consider hard to reach places like Ukraine or Russia? I think a SP personally also suggested São Paulo in Brazil.

I wonder if the talking phase is unique to Montreal. Most places even where they speak English, it seems it's shower and action. No talking phase until after or like 1 minute talking phase. Here in Montreal the talking phase could last 30 min or more.

The monger culture and venue types change from place to place so you need to make sure you're not comparing apples to oranges. If you're asking about the scene in Montreal vs what it was 7 years ago then stick with that. It was never the same in other places as it is here in Montreal so the passage of time hasn't really altered that difference. As someone who has mongered extensively in many different countries I can tell you that there have been changes everywhere, but different types of changes depending on where you are. I guess what I'm saying is that you can compare Montreal of 7 years ago to the current Montreal, or you can compare Montreal now to another location now, but you can't really compare across both space and time unless you're also a science fiction writer.

The local cost of living also has a big impact. Spain has a much lower cost of living but the salaries for jobs there are much lower and there is just not that many jobs for rates for SWs there are lower.

By the way, unrelated to Montreal, but I noticed London is going through a similar decline. About 10 years ago, you could get a 10/10 Romanian girl at a good rate. Now, it's full of plastic Brazilian girls with mediocre service. And agencies are just insanely priced ~ 350-500 GBP.

Haven't travelled the entire Europe yet, but I can vouch for Portugal. Mostly Brazilian ladies. Prices range from 60 to 80 EUR for 30 minutes. Most don't even hide their faces and use Photoshop mostly for touch-up. There are, of course, outliers with fake photos as well, but they are much rarer and are very obvious.

Spain, of course, as well. Lots of Latinas. Good forum in BCN as well, with quality reviews.

Had several stunning Latinas in Geneva ~ 10 years ago, but haven't been back in a while.

Needless to say, Czechia.

Ukraine was terrible. Pre-war, all hot girls left for Russia. This is pretty much true for any ex-USSR Russian-speaking country. Nowadays, I don't know. Getting into Russia as a foreigner is difficult and with everything going on, I am not sure it's even safe.

I have no idea as to the best places to be. I was in Prague and I sampled there.
Regarding the talking phase you mentioned, that's precisely why I prefer Massage Parlor over incall agency. You get a massage and then flip and action. Also I don't mind socializing a bit since I'm meeting with a person not a doll.
