Good trade for both teams as Schenn will help the flyers D especially if Pronger has lost a step, and Van Riemsdyk addresses a positional need as a big top 6 forward for the Leafs. Both young both highly talented, a good trade is one that appears to work for both teams and this is clearly just that. Sad to see you go Luke, and welcome to Toronto JVR!

Agree completely.
Roberto Luongo is trying to take his talents to South Beach.
The Vancouver Canucks goaltender has refused to waive his no-trade clause for deals that would see him shipped to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Chicago Blackhawks, according to Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Post-Dispatch.
Schneider is a pending restricted free agent while Luongo has 10 years left on a 12-year, $64-million contract.
Good! It's no big secret that i don't want him with the Leafs anyway! Old, overrated, and grossly overpaid!!!!! NO THANK YOU!!!!
A big FUCK YOU to you, Mr. Luongo!! :amen:

If he does come to the Leafs, then welcome home Roberto, if he does not come to the Leafs then I am ok with Reimer/Scrivens under a defensive system that Randy Carlyle implements. (geez, I sound like Merlot, quick, somebody shoot me!)
I agree with you, except for your comparison to Merlot. I'm comfortable having Reimer & Scrivens between the pipes. Instead of the usual 35-40 shots-against-per-game, those totals will go down with Carlyle's system. I'll agree that Luongo might be a slight improvement between the pipes over the two mentionned, but considering his huge contract, it's not worth it & they might as well invest the money saved on obtaining a couple of top forwards, including a #1 center to play with Kessel & Lupul.
