IMO, point 5 should be posted in that thread, not here.
Quite right - I moved my point 5 to Clavie's thread.

Maxima said:With regard to active SPs I welcome their posting in the Lounge. With regard to the Review Section, IMHO, they should be allowed to post there from time to time if they add value and as long as they do not use it as a subtle way to attack the competition or to shilling/self-promoting.

We know who are the abusers. (yeah wear it if it fits)Maxima said:from time to time if they add value and as long as they do not use it as a subtle way to attack the competition or to shilling/self-promoting.
Although my French reading skills are very poor and my written French is NILMG_mtl said:I think mods should serioulsy study a recent tendancy here on Merb. Like here for example. A review by an incall lady that mentions the the guy got "screwed" by 20$. Then follows a discussion by two SP`s on how they also get "screwed" by clients and their methods to prevent that... I believe that that discussion should not be held in that thread. After all we are not allowed to post in advertiers` threads, why should they be allowed to post in outcall (review) threads? Unless of course the thread is on them and they need to defend themselves of course.
I think it`s a valid debate that we should have or that Mods should discuss and be clear about.
PS: I have nothing against SP`s posting on Merb, I welcome and enjoy their contribution on Merb. But I don`t think you should be posting in review threads unless it concerns you. If someone has touched an intersting subject matter, just start a discussion thread in the lounge about it.
EagerBeaver said:Well since the referenced posts were in French I have no idea what the hell they were commenting on. But if these are active SPs and they are commenting on reviews of friends/competitors, I would agree with what you say. But because I am French challenged I have no way to know or make a definitive judgment on the posts in question.
I am trying to remember instances of English-posting SPs posting in outcall threads, and honestly I cannot think of any except one which occurred maybe 3 years ago. It was some not well established poster who posted a "non review" review to hammer Laila of FKS, claiming that she stood him up because she got a better deal, and also claiming that she discriminated against him because he was Asian. In fact, his review was somewhat suspicious as he claimed to have arranged to meet her at the hotel's bar instead of his room, which did not make any sense among many other things that he wrote that did not make sense. Laila, appropriately in my view, posted to defend herself against these allegations, but the thread deteriorated after that. I also think that Laila stopped posting on MERB after that.
If someone puts up a suspicious outcall review like that I would think it's fair for the reviewed SP herself to offer rebuttal. If, however, it's a friend or competitor, I agree with what you and MG Mtl are saying.
