Just learn a new word and a new personality trait: ambivert
extrovert-introvert-ambivert.jpg

An ambivert is a person whose personality falls between the extrovert and introvert extremes. They feel comfortable in social situations but also enjoy time alone, balancing between outgoing and reserved behaviors.
I think I was not like this younger and it's my numerous years living abroad and discovering new cultures and nature of my work that lead to this transformation.

PS: thanks the short reels from the Kelly Clarkson show with Rosé from the Blackpink for making me discovering that lol
And learn about the Myers-Briggs test which looks like to be a thing in south Korea.

I am also def an ambivert. I think my transformation was more extrovert--> ambivert though as I've aged.

Is there one where you're introverted by nature but have the ability to go full-on extrovert when the situation requires it and you can't stand the middle part where you have to be mildly social?

I need to find out. I thought I was what you mentioned. Because as part of my job I need to interact with lot of different types of people.

I've attended presentations about neurodivergent people which is a wide umbrella that can cover our types. Neurodivergent people have to constantly go out of their comfort zone to be able to look "normal" and interact "normally" with others.

I'm the opposite, I became more extroverted as I grew older but my introvert side still takes over. I do love people tho. I love getting to know new people and connections..

Tulipan takes a lot of flack for their "consent" condoms and many people complain about them being too dry. lol. If all you want is something that glows in the dark then there may be better options, like some of the glow in the dark body paints. May even be fun to paint each other. Who are we kidding? It would definitely be fun to paint each other. Just abit messy. Oh right, sex is supposed to be messy. Well, have at it then! lol

Why is it that old tv shows have theme songs that are so much cooler? Everybody knows a Mission Impossible, Hawaii 5-0, Peter Gunn type of theme, and they're cool, and there's lots of old themes like that. Where are the cool new ones?

The image that comes to mind is me, hair in a towel but otherwise naked, with a soapy sponge in one hand, at the incall, in the dark, chasing down splashes of glowing paint on the plants and curtains, the floor, under the bed, on a glass of water... at 2am, wishing that I'd just Amazon Primed the damn glowing condoms over instead of agreeing to the body paint.

If it's just being too dry, I'll add a bottle of lube to the order lol

I think i fall on both extremes of introvert alone, and then extrovert in public.
Only when I went to a talk with other neurodivergent people, did I learn about masking.

I didn't even realize masking was a thing. I was so oblivious to the idea that I just grew up saying I'm weird, you either love me or hate me, but I am me, and can't be anything other then myself.

It was only about 5 years ago that people started approaching me and questioning me and pointing out these things that are apparently normal/common/typical, and why did/was i so different from a typical person.

I always just assumed I was me, and I was just weird, and who I am suddenly needed an answer to why I was who/how I was all my life up to that point, and I had no answer.
