The young Philip Seymour Hoffman from his "Boogie Nights" days would have been the actor I, as casting director, would have chosen to play you in your interactions with Sam at industry parties before he started XO.

For the more important role of Sam, probably Henry Golding of Crazy Rich Asians. Although I was very impressed with the acting of Brian Tee in the Reacher series, and think he could pull off playing Sammy, but he is may be a bit too old for the part:

The case docket should be a matter of public record online. I was actually going to ask the same question and ask whether anyone looked at the case detail online. It should have information on when the arrests were made, the counsel of record for the defendants, the next appearance date in Court and the trial date status if one is assigned. Because I assume it's all in French there is no way for me to figure this out but it all should be online and a matter of public record.

There would be a case docket detail for each of the 5 defendants. I would look up Sammy's.

I was wondering this as well but have no idea where to look for that. Anyone know?

I found many court cases even stripclubs that got shut down. Even ppl who refuse to pay their rent and the landlord takes them to court I found the names here. But all in French only.

Not what i'm saying, it just seems weird that some people are super scared to be called by the cops and others want to contact the journalist. "Hi sir, curious about this whole XO thing.... asking for a friend"
But hey, it's a free country.

This reminds me of a funny story from many years ago, in which the reverse happened- a journalist called me, claiming she was interested and asking for a friend. It was a foreclosure sale that was only of any public interest because it was being done on a well known property of some historical interest. I was assigned by the Court to handle the foreclosure. The journalist, an unethical young woman, didn't tell me she was writing a story about it. She did tell me she was a journalist, but said she was calling for a "friend" who was a neighbor (the "friend" was indeed a neighbor who was interested in privately buying the property and was doing everything she could to sabotage the public auction). I spoke to the journalist freely and the next day she ran a story and quoted me making colorful quotes of the kind I am sometimes known to make here on MERB. But I NEVER would have made those statements to her if I thought we were "on the record." Partly my fault for not clarifying we were "off the record." But very unethical journalist behavior in my opinion.
