no its because they are not testing enough. USA got very late start (for many reasons i prefer not to elaborate again) but let’s just say if they had capacity testing of germany or south korea a month ago you would see a mortality % below 1% like germany.
Yea ur right. It is likely lower. That stat just stuck out, but still 800+ died today! That’s insane!

The US is very low at testing regarding prorata of population. So for each positive case you need to add up many many more who are positive who do not know and who are still infecting other people. That is why rapid and massive testing is so important.
The next 2 weeks you will see massive death in America. 800 for america is not that much if you remember that Italy got 1000 on some days. And do not believe Chinese data. They and 10 times (or much more) death then they reported.

Nature boy Italy has an absolute stellar healthcare system. On par with the US. They got to a point where they had to decide who get a respirator and who did not. I organized a webinar with Italian physician last week. What they still go trough in crazy. But it's improving now. So yes expect 1000 or more in the US. At some point something will be missing either ventilator, staff who know how to operate them or simply just enough staff period to take care of everyone.
Quebec is #4 in the world right now at testing in prorata of population. But results still take way too long. 2 to 4 days. They need to bring this down to 45 minutes max!

Listen it's clear USA downplayed this whole thing for a full month (February). No matter what Trump says they did not believe it was a real problem.
Good thing is USA will fare better then Brazil (who are still downplaying the problem) or many other countries because they have no healthcare system to speak of...
