It seems to have changed name to Le Chabrol??? Wtf? New admin maybe?

Anyone been there since the name change? Did you notice a change in policy (id required?) or in rates?

Thanks!

Was there Thursday afternoon, I didn't see any change in policy or price. It might be a little too soon for that.

What I did see was a bunch of new matresses in plastic covering being put in all over the Motel. I saw at least 4 or 5 on each floor laid up against the wall outside the room each one was going to go into.

Girls report new bed spreads as well, the name is a bit silly IMO, but seems like they are cleaning up the place a bit :p

On Friday night I was having a drink with one of the receptionist at a strip club and he informed me the name change to
Le Chabrol.

No more associated with the other Chablis, it is now a stand alone establishment (I think same management as before).

LOL yeah Chabrol? It sound extremely silly. But who cares if the price are better and all lol. Not my usual place to say the least(been there i think twice) but its extremely popular for the SPs meeting, i supose for the ratio of 4 hours rent vs rooms with pole and such.

I generally go there in a regular room with large side mirror with $55 for 3-4 hours.
Few years back I rented there a large room with stripper pole and a Jacuzzi in the middle of the room. I think it was perhaps room number 101, but I am not sure. I paid $100 for 4 hours, to spend 2 hours with KIM. The room was very neat and clean with a big flat screen TV.
I am not sure if they are still having that room.

Where I belong.
I never knew that they had rooms with stripper poles there.
Oh, yeah. Stripper poles, showers with glass walls between the room and the shower, mirrors on the walls and ceilings, jacuzzis all over the joint. The place was just designed for what it's used for.

Back in my room renting days, I greatly preferred the Chablis to any of the sterile downtown hotels.

The in and out business is not the same as it was years ago, it use to be that some of these seedy stinky places could rent the same room 12 times a day. The old Chablis on St-Jacques
is not on prime land, The Chablis on Lajeunesse is in a good location and I would not be surprised if they knock it down for condos.

It's called Motel Idéal Lajeunesse lol
And the southern part has been converted in condos but it was ANOTHER Motel = Motel Métro !

Really?

I never knew that they had rooms with stripper poles there.

Amazing.

Back in my room renting days, I greatly preferred the Chablis to any of the sterile downtown hotels.

I had great fun once with a hot body goddess. Jacuzzi, ceiling and wall mirrors, champagne, and yep...a stripper pole.

But damn did this place smell so stale the last time I was there two years ago. I don't know what that smell was but it isn't hard to imagine that the cleaning was steadily falling behind the vigorous usage. I believe a lot of the old material should have been taken out and burned a long time ago.

Years ago, they were all part of the same chain - all as Motel Ideals. The ones currently on the Motel Ideal banner, the two Chablis, and I think there was another one on Sherbrooke Street East in Montreal East/Pointe-aux-Trembles (might be what is now Hotel Le Prestige).
oh kk thx good to know ... nowadays those two chains operates really distinctively ... everythings different...
And it looks like Chablist St-Jacques has been probably sold ... so again new furnitures ?
Shit I always liked Chablis's little round translucid soaps !

You are right ,it is the Prestige, outside is great, inside it needs revamping ,and EB,all those motels has rooms with pole, even the Ideal on Lajeunesse, only difference between the 2 Chablis was the location ,St-Jacques in a obvious sp meeting place and the Sherbrook one in a ordinary neighborhood ...guess why I prefer Chablis Sherbrooke ?It match my prim and proper outside look...

Motel Ideal i have been there 2 times... First its considered as out of downtown, at least by one agency, as i had to put an extra 20... Not a big problem but annoying for nothing as i already spent time and money going there. Biggest problem was the people... damn i couldn't sleep at all, people above me going nuts until 4 am... seriously those kinda place... ARG. Chablis i have been there 2 times, its more classy, and its been too long i don't remember if i had noise problem BUT its just so far and inconvenient for me... Subway til Vendom(already a solid 15 min) then taxi to the motel itself... a solid 10$ if not more... another 15 min of car. Double that to go to the downtown area again... ouch really for a guy like me no it ain't the best...
