You asked to hear others' stories. I have a friend who went through something similar. He got sweet on a certain SW, even took her with him on a multiweek family vacation to Africa (he's European). Spent a fair amount of money on her. He's 50+, she's around 20. He found out she was talking shit about him.

No you are not the only one. I went through my own version of crazy. The Covid lock down and at that time dealing with postpartum depression really warped my wife. When the lock down was over and things slowly going back to normal she became a whole new person. Her questionable female crew was not helping things either as they were huge cheerleaders of her decided to go poly. Was a fucking mess at that time especially we have a new born who needed a loving mother. To keep the peace and saved the marriage as we have kids I reluctantly agreed which is for just a year for her to get this out of her system. Didn’t last that long though as she decided to return and focus on our marriage eight months in as she caught gono in her throat. Now is my turn for my year and I decided my version is to return to the hobby.

Honestly given the choice I would rather have a Simping Hooker Problem lol. This is because you well know things are not going to end well and when you reach that point you just walk away with a few emotional bruises that quickly heal.

You wanted stories, mine is nowhere near as crazy and cinematic but here goes. Was seeing this stripper at Club Downtown sorta regularly for lap dances. we agreed that she'd call me and we'd hook up. I give her my number, she ends up never calling me, she gives me some excuses about losing her phone or whatnot. Eventually I get a call from an unrecognized number which I wasn't able to pick up. I'm sure I'll get slammed for saying this but I simply don't understand why this board has become a lonely hearts club. I'm sure there are reasons, and I'm genuinely sorry that so many people feel alone and in need of connection. Honestly, though, this "hobby" is best enjoyed as a fleeting pleasure. I never intended it to be and I wouldn't say I was " in love" with her by any means. But I did definitely care about her. It felt more like I was betrayed by a close friend, not a love interest.

It all happened kind of accidentally. It started out as me thinking I was helping this poor abused and broken soul. I didn't mean to get attached to her it just happened and by the time I realized it it was too late.

There's a ton of stuff and other less dramatic but equally awful situations she put me in that I left out of the story for the sake of brevity.
