Agencies are too paranoid to accept new clients ... I get why, but it sucks for someone new to the hobby

That first encounter before trust is built.

A whole new game and protocol. Especially with the indie market too. There are more little steps and hoops to jump through. Once you follow the steps and date/time are set and verified then all good.

It is a bit more work now. Remember the days all needs was an email of date, time, how long and hotel.

I messaged two yesterday, one never replied the other said they currently aren't taking new clients.

Given the two incidents this year shall we call them unforeseen circumstances, I guess best to focus on indies and outcall agencies. That is if new clients are accepted.

Also if you see indies maybe best to establish some of them as gateway SPs who may vouch for you.

Got to think and plan a few steps ahead and future proof if you see yourself continuing on.

The no reply is a bit weird. What type of phone or number are you using to reach out to them?

For the not taking new clients it's usually for specific ladies not the whole agency lol

Just using my regular cell its not blocked or anything. It was was one the highly regarded ones that post here regularly. I get the caution so I don't want to name and shame them but I'll try again in a month maybe.

i miss the days indies were receiving late at night.. now i find myself scrolling for a sp that i would like and my schedule dont match.

Décathlon made us realize that Adidas, Nike, Reebok, etc. are all hugely overpiced brands for which people pay a premium only for the name! All mainstream sports clothes are made of plastic (polyester) in third world countries, anyway.

Same thing with underwear: Boss, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, etc. All overpriced! You can find equivalent products (cotton) for less than half the price on Amazon.

Best to wait for sales online and then find coupons. Most important is to know your size of the brand. An 8 in Reebok maybe an 8 1/2 or 9 for Adidas for example.

People who don’t remember their locker number at the gym. Take a damn picture of your locker. Annoying the locker room maintenance people have to run around opening up people’s lockers.
