For about 30 years, I have had no interest in downtown Toronto. I enjoy Mississaguga near all the strip clubs I have an interest in, massage places and now most escort agencies have incalls all over the Sauga area.
Also, the Marriott I stay at is almost half the cost of downtown, and I hate all the traffic, parking mess, etc.I usually stay about a week at a time, so avoiding DT makes sense for saving at least $100/night on hotels. This is why I keep putting off a trip to Montreal since I know Toronto so well. I am not a downtown type of person; I have always lived in wider open areas of suburbs, etc.
I'm not a sports fan so that I couldn't care less about sporting events, bars, etc.
However, I have a long-time friend who lives near downtown Toronto, and I always meet him at his home and go out to dinner or meet with his friends. But the last few trips, I've just taken an Uber instead of fighting the traffic, which still has construction on the Lakeshore, etc.
Once in an Uber, I noted that the walkers at a park were moving faster than the traffic. This upcoming trip, I may take the airport train downtown, as the train station is only a few miles from my friend's home. The Toronto airport is in Mississauga, close to my usual Marriott hotel.
In my view, the DT strip clubs are nothing like the "sauga" clubs. Thanks to Ex-Mayor Hazel, who retired close to age 90, now deceased, who for decades believed sex work should be out in the open and not have to be more dangerously hidden.
