Gaby he is a phony and is now recognized as such by most Americans, and the ones who do not recognize it have been bamboozled. Bamboozlement in some cases is a permanent affliction.

By the way the infrastructure bill was getting passed behind any President, have you noticed some of our bridges are ready to fall down? A lot of that money went to infrastructure in CT from what I understand and particularly for some of our bridges. It has been widely reported here that around 70 or so bridges in this state are in the danger category of maintenance meaning they will fall down soon if not significantly repaired.

The last significant federally funded infrastructure upgrade in Connecticut was in the 1950s under Dwight Eisenhower when I-95 was built as part of the interstate highway system. After the historic floods of 1955 the US Army Corps of Engineers did install 3 flood control dams in northern Connecticut. The dams opened in the 1960s, and effectively blocked the downstream flooding that walloped CT in thosee historic Floods of September of 1955, when coffins and bodies were washed into Long Island Sound due to incredibly swollen rivers. Not a whole lot has been going on here since the last of those dams opened in 1969, in terms of newly engineered infrastructure:

If the infrastructure was being passed under any president, then why was there a running joke of Infrastructure Week during the last administration? If even McConnell--who voted for it--called it a godsend, the only conclusion left is that Trump never took it seriously or as a priority.

And if infrastructure was going to pass under any administration, then why did only 13 Republicans vote for it? The adults in the room realize we need infrastructure upgrades. But the children voters are threatening Republicans who voted for it; the children Congresspeople are threatening their fellow Republican colleagues who voted for it--all for a bill that improves the entire country. The shitbonkers level of dysfunction in the Republican party seriously impugns the idea that an infrastructure bill would have passed under any president or Congressional majority.

Could you imagine if Trump had said this, the TDS thread would be 20 pages longer and the MSM would of had a week of coverage.

Now on a much more serious topic. Does anyone believe that Biden is capable to stand up to Putin.
If Biden is incapable of convincing Putin not to invade Ukraine then Covid will not continue be the biggest story in 2022 .
I believe that 2022 will be the most dangerous year since the Cuban missile crisis. Back then the US was united and had a strong young leader. Today the US is on the verge of a civil war, has the second worse president this century, and facing the strongest Russian and Chinese leaders in many years.......not to mention a nuclear NK led by a lunatic and Iran on the verge of becoming a nuclear power led by another lunatic.

Around the corner
If the Canadians feel differently, they should send in their army.
They are too busy training their troops to play hockey, hopefully some of the better ones will be recruited by the Habs.
No Americans can’t help meddling in other countries affairs, they will be there for Ukraine in the end.

Biden's approval rating continues to sink fast.

According to Fivethirtyeight.com, a site that averages and summarizes various well-known polls, his current approval rating is 42.5% and his disapproval rating is 51.3%.

These are numbers are almost as bad of those of Trump and significantly worse than any president since Carter.

At least Biden's numbers are a little better than VP Kamilla, but that is not saying much. It's amazing that anyone could think well of Kamilla.

Three Cheers for Joe!!!

...Manchin, that is!

Best news of the week. Manchin sticks a dagger into the heart of "Build Back Brandon"

Now Biden is a lame duck three full years before the next election.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D., W.Va.) said he would oppose his party’s roughly $2 trillion education, healthcare and climate package, a decision that likely dooms the centerpiece of President Biden’s economic agenda as currently crafted.

“This is a ‘no’ on this legislation,” Mr. Manchin said on Fox News Sunday. “I have tried everything.”

Democrats have spent months crafting and revising the package to win Mr. Manchin’s support, which they need to pass the bill through the 50-50 Senate. Mr. Manchin has maintained his opposition to its design and many of its provisions, but his comments on Sunday cast the future of the legislation into fresh peril.

In a statement released following his appearance on Fox News Sunday, Mr. Manchin reiterated many of the concerns he has aired publicly about the bill, including its possible impact on inflation and the debt.

Mr. Manchin said on Fox News that Mr. Biden had been “wonderful” to work with, but that he couldn’t explain a “yes” vote to the people he represented in West Virginia.

“I’ve tried everything humanly possible,” Mr. Manchin said. “I can’t get there.”

Mr. Manchin’s position is set to derail Democrats’ efforts to translate their threadbare congressional majorities and control of the White House into a wide-ranging legislative package before the midterm elections, when Republicans are favored to win control of the House...
