I watched Hiding Biden's speech last night and thought he did a pretty good job. Much of what he said wasn't anything new, but he was reassuring and confident. 61% of Americans support the Covid Relief Bill and Biden has a 51% approval rating.

.Biden's Rose Garden speech delivery was good. Many are thinking Joe is loosing his marbles but when he sticks to the script on the teleprompter he seems just fine. The content of what he said IMHO didn't really address what many have been wanting to ask him about. He has gone over 50 days (the most by any president) without a press conference.

I think that specific kind of speech - some empathy, some reassurance, here's the plan - is right in Biden's sweet spot. He's good at that. He isn't a sweeping orator to lift up a crowd, or a witty debater, or any of that shit. But he's strong at "look, this is what we're doing, we get it".

The next set of bills seem to be the Voting Rights bills and the big infrastructure bills.
I'm sure they are going to put a third in there as well. They want to put Sinema, Manchin, and the other Dems who are hesitant about changing the filibuster under a lot of pressure.
