An unmasked man filmed yelling in the face of an elderly woman on a busy New York City subway train has been identified as 27-year-old Ryan Bartels.

He respects his own freedom but no one else's. The attitude of a self-centred child.

Yeah, nothing says "macho man" more than threatening an old lady over wearing a mask.

The elderly lady also has the freedom to wear a mask and not to be disturbed by him.

His family ratted him out quick! Seems like even they hate him and recognize he's a coward.

If he wants to have the covid that's ok, but he doesn't come and prevent those who want to get out of it.

In addition, he will come to the hospital for treatment

The reality is, for most of the USA Covid is over and done. But somehow here in Quebec we are still stuck with all the crazyness of our gov including these mask wich should had been removed at the beginning of the summer. AT LEAST for the summer season. Or kept maybe only in Metro/bus or such. Or maybe kept for the region of Montreal and not the small villages.

Anyway point is, i look at these wrestling shows and it make me so sad to be stuck in Quebec right now. To say i used to tell everyone it was the best place in the world to live, and now i just wish i could move out of it.

From what i can see, most people in the audience are wearing masks. Irresponsible of Becky Lynch to be approaching fans too. And nothing wrong with being prudent and keeping the mask mandate going in Quebec until we have a higher percentage of people vaccinated. It's not that hard to wear a mask to protect ourselves and others. Especially those who refuse to vaccinate and are still not prudent in their behaviors. I happen to know a couple of people in the early forties, unvaccinated and healthy, and near death in the ICU. No underlying conditions. Quebec is actually the place to be right now if you want to be safe.

Not sure when was the last time you were on a NYC subway, but I'm not surprised by this assholes behavior. Most people just keep their heads down, mind their own business and go where they need to go. The woman didn't deserve to be spoken to that way. But, what is not clear in the video is who engaged whom. Just to be clear, nobody deserves to be spoken to like that, but there is also something to be said about ignoring these assholes so you don't have to get into it with them. She's not gonna change this idiots way of thinking and could have gotten into a really bad situation.

Regarding wearing mask in the NYC subways, over the past couple of months I've seen people wearing them less and less. To the point were I am now wearing Kn95 masks when taking the subway to protect myself. Our positivity rate is about 3% which isn't horrible, but it's going up and even though I'm fully vaccinated I'm willing to play it safe for now.

Especially after seeing unvaccinated people they know suffer in hospital ICU units. And also realizing that they cannot go anywhere without a vaccine passport. I am sure that many of them have already had a first shot since Legault's announcement. So we will see in 4 weeks after they get the second shot what the percentage is.

Current % is 75.5 for 1 dose. If they got one, they will surely get the 2nd unless they had problems with the first. You have to understand society is different in Quebec compared to the US. Americans value their freedoms but Quebecors want government protection (many love Socialism). You cannot change society. Politicians do what will get them reelected and fact is majority agree with Lego. I agree with all that you wrote but nothing any of us can do. Look at the views on this board. It seem in the US there is some political things linked to it. Republican/Democrat, Trump/Biden etc. I can't say at what point its true but the stats don't like that a much bigger pool of peoples are not vaccinated and the "passeports" are way less present in the US.

In Quebec the only oposition is the Conservative Party of Quebec by Eric Duhaime and its a very minor party (it grow fast lately tough) but the chances of elections are 0,00001% at the moment.

That said, what you mention is true, peoples in Quebec really disapoint me. I always saw Quebecers as one of the strongest peoples on Earth, resisting english conquest and assimilation over all these years, kicking religion out hard and being proud and strong about our roots. I was always proud to be a Quebecer and an independantist. But now... im not anymore. I use to play with the Fleur the Lys on everything i can like online video games to show peoples i am from Quebec (yes i know it can be used for other things but whatever) but lately im removing this symbols from my profile because whats Quebec has been transforming into is shamefull.

At every steps of what Legault has done from confinements to mask to curfew i was telling myself "he is going too far, peoples won't accept that" but everytime they did. Now we are litteraly starting segregation and way too many peoples are fine with it. I don't think the polls are true, its certainly not 85% cause even among vaccinated there is a fair share of peoples who are against the passeport, but its probably 67-72% and yet that is way too high.
