Even with 3 more it is a razor thin majority that struggles if any mp is missing or sick.

Ndp is now leaderless so they are in no rush to have an election. Carney has a 6-12 month free ride but am no expert.
Agreed. Just to show how much the country is divided. Carney will have to deliver and the NDP is in shambles. He is on shaky ground. We will see how things are in 1-2 years.

Conservatives need a new leader.

I'm already hearing rumblings that Nova Scotia premier Tim Horton wants the top job.
They do. Poilievre personality and style is the issue. He is too eddy and rough and too right-wing. I am certain if Jean Charest won the leadership race for the CPC the results of the election would have been much more different. The party needs a more centrist but strong leader. O'Toole was the worst, he was so wishy washy.

What is it that you are expecting him to deliver, other than platitudinous statements about national pride designed to get citizens to beat their chests like King Kong, at least until they have something to be unhappy about?

Well he won a minority so his position is on shaky ground. He can get a majority by offering the NPD cabinet positions. But still the people voted him because to them Trump is more important then the issues affecting Canada. They think a banker/economist can deal with it the best. Knowing this, Carney must deliver results on negotiating with Trump and to deal with the real issues affecting Canada which is mainly the housing crisis. I read somewhere that he will reduce immigration to 1% population growth annually which is where it should have always been, it was like that since the Mulroney years and apartments and houses were affordable. But he has not addressed the problem with way too many asylum seekers, this needs to be cut in half. There are way too many. So let us see what Carney does.
