What is your estimate of the availability of SP and massage pre 2020 vs. today? A recession expected, do you think there will be a surge in SP and MPs

In 2020, pre pandemic and pre Trump slowing the world economy there were at least 3-4 times as many massage places and SPs. Massage places were on every big street in Montreal. The fat mayor Coderre was standing on St. Hubert street on a news report telling of how he was in sight of 5 places from one intersection. There was once a time where there were 200 daily ads in the Journal de Montreal advertising massage and SP services, Then came the weekly newspapers like the Mirror an Voir, later was the free advertising on Kijiji, Craigs list and Announce 123. Did the several years of the pandemic break the habits of many hobbyist? Is money that tight now as compared to pre 2020?

With all that salons that disappeared that eliminates opportunities for ladies to make a few bucks. Many years ago I was told by a salon owner that around the time of spring break and summer months there were a lot of university students that worked temporarily in salons. Are there less SPs, less clients?

Probably a mix of things. 3-4 times as many parlors, not sure about that estimate. How many were actual garbage? I'd say its about the same ratio still.

Higher rents and overall inflation sure don't help. For example, I stopped going to strip clubs and massage parlors , partially due to covid, but really I just find it to be shit mileage. Why spend 200-300$ for a crappy dance from a girl without moves and completly zoned out on ketamine? Or pay 200-300 for weak massage just to get a uninspired hj or bj ?

As for girls, there are more options then there ever were before to make a few bucks. That alone changes the balance of "power". I also think that with the increase of "internet users" that has generated an increase in scammers for johns and fake bookings for girls. And for some immigration "concerns".... I know a girl that got fed up of posting ads because she kept getting spammed by indians, pimps, angry incels and other girls. So she raised her prices a little bit and just keeps a few regulars. Don't know if she makes more money but she doesn't scramble as much as she used to and is actually easier to book. Her best friend also used to be a SW and when covid hit she wen't back and completed her degree and got a normal day job. She supplements it with selling panties online, sugar daddies (including a few trips a year with regulars) and other similar gigs and she makes more than she did when she was a SP and in her words "doesn't have to deal with as many deadbeats and weirdos".

Personally, I'd say my "entertainment" budget has been cut in half compared to 10-15 years ago. Going out for a good dinner, good drinks and some company would cost me 500-600$ now... its double that easy. My income hasn't doubled in that period. But a good side effect to that is I make more efforts to meet women so I think that's a win win. If you're married that's a different challenge. But if you think that's expensive... I changed my roof this summer and its more than double the price it was on my previous house less than 20 years ago for practically the same work. My snow removal and lawn care contract is tripple what it was and they don't even shovel the path to my front door anymore.

So to answer your question I think its a combo of more expensive services, lower buying power and easier access to guys with more "fuck you money".

PS. I also think the shift in the underworld market going from bikers/italians to street gangs has seriously affected the non-indy market.
