Most of the time professional photos are very serious in the vibe it conveys. Which is a bit cold and not inviting or reachable. Artistically speaking it checks the boxes but aren't those photos suppose to attract clients?
I personally like the photos where the person is smiling as it's a glimpse to the potential connection you can make.
It's not because we don't show teeth, i dont smile...personnaly i prefer with less teeth.. we can't please everyone .... but now with the technology almost impossible to tell if the picture have a filter or no ;-)

And you have a nice smile :)
It's true when making a decision or giving an opinion we can't please everyone so at the end of the day we go with what we want regardless of the others

People can be really hard on others. Not everyone likes being in front of the camera. I'm one of them. But that doesn’t mean I’m not a confident person.

Sometimes the world expects bubbly people to always be 'on,' always smiling in photos and performing happiness and we dont have all the same taste.

For me, doing a photoshoot is a big challenge. It brings a lot of pressure and stress, and by the time the day arrives, I’m often already exhausted. It's required a lot of préparation (hair, make up, spray tan, outfit, ect)

Pale skin. If I'm scrolling through a listing site and I see a woman with really white skin, I have to check her out. Like snow white pale. Slap a tattoo somewhere, not everywhere of course, perfection. I don't care about makeup or hair as long as it's not a fluorescent colour.

I like a more candid photo of a provider, wearing something that she'd wear on a dinner date. Big fan of the classic bathroom photo at either the restaurant or hotel. I understand the need to blur a women's face, and to be honest, I almost prefer it sometimes over a heavy photoshop approach (like some Asian agencies).

While a professional photoshoot can produce very nice photos, there is always a question in the back of my mind of when the photo was taken. In contrast, the low bar of taking a selfie makes it seem more current, despite the fact that it might not be the case.

For disclosure, I tend towards indys, most of whom I find on twitter.
