Just fyi recently stayed at hotel omni through hotwire. Four stars? more like 2.5 or 3 max. heated pool was closed real bummer on a cold FEB day.

When and if you stay do not give a CREDIT CARD to them they have in my case held on to $200.00 for incidentals such as phone and room service of which none were used, been 15 days and counting several phone calls but the charge of $200.00 is still on credit card.

if you really didn't use those services, call them back and tell them to get rid of the $200 charges or else they risk of loosing a potential customer. it always works that way....it's normal that they keep the $200 but 15 days is tooo long. it should be not more than 3 days

When you checked out of the hotel, were the charges on your card?

I've stayed at the Omni many times, and never left with unresolved issues. I would never leave any hotel without absolutely clearing any discrepancies... and until they were settled, I'd be standing there! This isn't unique to the Omni, as billing problems come up at the best properties.

Omni hotel

Spoke to their accounting dept on several occasions. They are now blaming my credit card co and the last call, was that in 24 to 48 hours it should all be cleared up.

Have you considered just challenging the charge on your credit card? This forces the credit card company to question the hotel's accounting department. Did one recently where a private detective agency I hired in England failed to perform. Card company took about 45 days to clear up this international issue.

I'm very surprised to hear this. It just so happens that the Omni Mont-Royal is Special K's favorite hotel. The guy constantly raves about it & always stays there!! :D

The last time i stayed there, i noticed some minibar charges on my bill that shouldn't have been on there. As a matter-of-fact, i hadn't used the minibar at all!! As Leo Goetz might have said after a hotel stay: "Never use the minibar!!! They'll fuck you with the minibar!!!!"

The girl at the front desk wanted me to wait until they sent someone to verify the minibar's contents, but i was already running late to go and catch my stagecoach & couldn't stay at the hotel a minute longer. Luckily, i noticed on my credit card statement a few weeks later that the minibar charges had been removed. So i guess the moral of this story is that "Doc Holliday didn't get fucked by the minibar!" :D
