A Trump presidency has global implications.

Please don't think that I supported Donald Trump...or Hillary Clinton. I voted for neither one. But the wisdom of age has taught me that many other circumstances will affect my life much more than who happens to occupy the oval office.

Even though both candidates are unfit to be president, the founding fathers foresaw such an awful circumstance. The Constitution wisely grants very few real powers to the president. A president can only pass significant legislation if he has a solid majority in Congress or if he can compromise with his opposition. Obama has accomplished nothing since the Democrats lost control of Congress six years ago. Hillary will likely face the same fate and I have no confidence in her ability to compromise in the manner of her successful husband. She is a radical feminist whose far-left wing legislative hopes and plans will be rejected by Congress. Her presidency will have no effect on me or you or anyone here.

A lot of people have underestimated how much Hillary is disliked..........she is not a popular candidate and the way she has sold influence has sickened many people. She is the ultimate political whore................I didn't vote for either of these two but Connecticut was a blue state again which is no surprise here.............

I am happy right now that I pulled out all my stock investment about 2 months ago (my broker still think I am a crazy motherfucker). My plan was to wait after the election to see what to do. It looks like I will be able to buy back at a very low price soon, and wait on it. Or by any chance maybe the US dollar will sink again at par with CDN, giving us a chance to convert to US. Because you see sooner or later the US will be back.

As much as I hate that pussy grabber trump, it looks like I may have done a correct choice :)

Cheers

Betfair live trading has Clinton +300 to win right now

All pre-market stock trading already down 3-4% for tomorrow and might be worse if Trump gets projected to win tonight

It's almost done. It could even be an easy victory for Trump.

Trudeau in Canada / Trump in USA... North America voters don't understand politics..

If you haven't pulled your money out of the stock market it's too late now.

If Trump wins and the market drops a lot, it will be one of the best buying opportunities in the last few years. The market will bounce back fairly quickly after the initial shock of a Trump win.

The worst of all with a Trump win will be having to see his fucking smile for 4 years!

Now we get to feel how many felt 8 years ago when a fucking nigger was elected (I was in Alabama when that happened, and let me tell you that is how they described it).

Such a typically Canadian reaction.

The truth is that race relations are better in Alabama (and the rest of the American south) than in Quebec. If Quebec's population were 25% black (like Alabama) instead of 3%, then Quebec would be the most racist place on earth.

Next time you're down there, be sure to remind them that you think "they" are racists.

Like the Saturday Night Live skit when Donald Trump played by Alec Baldwin found out that 60MM people read his outlandish Twitter feed and he said "and I'm still in this? They must really hate her."

Apologies in advance but ignorant American question.....

Were the people of Quebec following the US election (do they care who wins)?

Yeah, of course. Even though it's not technically our country, it still affects us greatly (as well as the rest of the world). This is a very polarizing election, to say the least...:|
