I'm nothing but proud of Canadians mostly staying away from the US. Canadians are the #1 foreign visitors to America every year, and their absence along with other nationalities (who wants to risk immigration detention based on unpredictable rules for the hell of it?) will cause the US to lose billions this year.
It's only in this upside down world that a US president will troll and insult its neighbor and significant trade partner and millions of Americans do NOT think that is appalling. Every new day for Americans without brain damage or messed up values is a new day for more embarrassment with each new low this fool reaches. It gets worse when one remembers people actually voted for this shit! The comedy shows do a good job of extracting humor from America's current plight. In finding new ways to make tourism to US plunge further, the Trump administration now says tourists from several countries that don't require visas will have to submit 5 years of their social media history in order to gain entry. This affects countries like France, Germany, UK, Australia and even Israel. Somehow, Canada is not on the list and yet it's still such a stupid rule I don't know where to begin.

I just saw Ben Furguson on CNN approving that projected mesure. i didn't know him before and fast realised that I didn't miss anything by not knowing him. He is an extrême conservative clown.

Yes. Please stay away. This country needs to learn the hard way from the incredibly stupid decision it made last year. I actually need to visit Canada more, as a matter of solidarity and injecting some money into the local economy--and not just because I'm addicted to your women.
I know someone who is still touring US from Canada, but I think she's very much the exception these days. All the 51st state nonsense and tariffs really touched a nerve, as it should have. The only country where it's not obvious to millions that putting someone like Trump in charge is a bad idea is America. I've yet to have a conversation with anyone outside the US who has said one good thing about Trump, and I leave the US 3-4x a year.
They've been googling people at the border for a long time already. Over a decade ago, a guy got banned from entering the US because they googled his name and saw he had written a paper about LSD back in college.
