I'm not gonna tell people not to protest. I've been to these (not in a while but still...). It's reassuring to not feel like a mad person to think everything happening is un-American, or at minimum contrary to all the high-minded ideals that built the country.

But aside from the fact it's the same set of people who consistently see the wrongness of it all (the people who voted for this nonsense aren't changing their minds and joining the protests), protests are just catharsis. Voting at the right time is what matters.
Trump is cleaning the White House, after Kristi Noem, It's Pam Bondi turn to be shown the exit door !
It's a good beginning, at least ten other unqualified clowns need to leave !
First, Kash Patel and after, his great geniuses that thing that tarifs work.

From Noem to Bondi, these people are just Fall Guys. Donald Trump always finds someone to blame and it's never himself.

His deportation plan was campaigned on by him, and Stephen Miller is executing it. Regardless of however one feels about immigration enforcement, it's important to be realistic. Setting a target of 100 million deportees is so unrealistic that people who actually know their shit don't know where to begin. Obama set a modern record for most deported and his tally was roughly 3 million people over two administrations. To think you'll hit 33x that, in one year no less, is to reveal you don't have a fucking clue (to say nothing of 100 million is roughly a third of the US population and we don't have that many illegal immigrants).

As for Bondi, that one lies at Trump's feet too. The Justice Department is not a weapon to go after your purported enemies. If Biden or Obama had openly campaigned on that, conservatives would have rightfully lost their shit, yet when Trump said it they had no problems. Bondi brought cases that were based on Trump's grudges rather than actual crimes. That indictments failed to stick is justice working, not that Bondi is a failure. An independent Attorney General and DOJ, which the country emphasized after Nixon's excesses and Trump has torn down, would have never filed the charges in the first place.

As we speak, the same DOJ is investigating the Fed Chair in an attempt to get him to step down so that Trump can install a Fed Chair who will cut interest rates regardless of actual economic conditions.

Trump's first Attorney General was fired because he recused himself because he had been compromised because he didn't disclose he met with a Russian ambassador. It was the right thing to do, yet that got him fired because Trump saw him as his personal lawyer rather than the country's lawyer. Despite a kook himself and abetting Trump in other ways, Trump's 2nd AG refused to help Trump steal the 2020 election and became a public Trump critic. Is there a throughline or common denominator in all of this, perhaps? Hmn.

The offenses I've mentioned used to be rejected in bipartisan fashion. Nixon resigned because Republican senators forced him to under threat of impeachment. What has changed to allow this stupidity and flushing the country down the toilet is the Republican Party. I'm just sorry all you fine people in Canada (and the world) who didn't vote for Trump are nonetheless dealing with Trump's bullshit because one of our parties is corrupt beyond saving.
