On another subject, Trudeau government will announce further restrictions for law abiding Canadian firearm owners this afternoon.
He already banned in May 2020 a lot of firearms that were used once in murders while keeping legal and non-restricted as damgerous if not more other firearms he banned.
He is supposed to buy back those firearms legally bought but almost 5 years later, nothing has been done.
Two years ago, he kept owners of restricted firearms from selling or transferring them to legal owners.
That's equivalent of a delayed steal.

I am surprised at how much misinformation is in this article, Mulcaire's political comments are for the most part unbiased but this article is 100% biased. With this latest gun ban, let us examine the Trudeau Liberal's latest record on violent crime. They have an interesting paradigm for fighting violent crime, they ignore high risk individuals and go after low risk individuals. They ignore the repeat offenders (with the catch and release system and no minimum sentences) but go after law abiding gun owners. Weird. If you have a firearms license, then you have passed the criminal background check and the mental health check. You are what the social scientists call low risk. Someone stabbing multiple people, released on bail then reoffending by stabbing more people, this is a high risk individual. The Trudeau Liberals want to focus on low risk individuals. Since they took office crimes have gone up. Thefts is becoming more the norm.
The guns are not coming from law abiding gun stores, it is the black market supplying arms to criminals coming from international shipping, much of it coming from the US. Success is to ignore law abiding supply chains and gun owners and focus on the real criminals.
