It was indeed an extremely entertaining game. Yet none of these two goalies will be Vezina trophy contenders! :lol:
I think Pittsburgh has a goaltender issue but like your other picks. I would add Tampa Bay and subtract Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is now in decline and past their primes. They will be overtaken in the standings by younger fast teams with better goalies.
Finally Sharks woke up....8-1 over Flyers......PAVELSKY-KARLSSON-BURNS on the scoreboard...keep on the good work.

The Leafs look like a team which will be good for high scoring games with high total goals over/under. Freddie Anderson faced more SOGs than any NHL goalie last year by a wide margin and he can expect to continue his workout regimen in the Leafs net. 7-6 and 7-5 type games will prevail with this team. I just hope Anderson continues to be a horse because the SOGs he is facing and having to save is like a baseball pitcher being asked to throw 250 plus innings. Only the horses can do it.
Talking to a friend in Edmonton who is a Leafs fan ( go figure ) and this is what we ( mostly he ) came up with.
The Leafs are great in scoring and forwards, not so good in defence, too many shots on net. Can you omagine the defence you could get for Matthews plus the draft picks? He is good yes but not needed, the Leafs would not be hurt with the switch. Just a thought.

Caps 5 Vegas 2......KUZY 5pts, Ovechkin 2 goals, Holtby great in the net...they are still on their momentum of last year......they look very sharp.
