I have been shocked by the Oilers' poor play so far. It seemed like they ended last season on a thunderous positive note and now they seem to have taken a step back.

The Leafs have put 3 shots in the Golden Knights' net in the first period but Lagace is still in goal. Vegas is completely out of goalies and Lagace will be left in to take whatever beating has to be taken. Fleury, Subban, and Dansk, you all gotta get well in a hurry!

What an exciting finish to the Rangers-Blue Jackets game with Grabner winning a race to a puck against the CBJ defender and then burying an empty net goal, his second of the game, for a 5-3 Rangers win. This was all while having a penalty committed as the CBJ defender was slashing and tripping Grabner but he scored the empty netter anyway. Star of the game.

Mitch Marner the only goal on 7 shootout attempts. Tough way to go down for Vegas but at least they point.

Meanwhile Mika Zibenajed got star of the game for the Rangers tonight, 3 assists on 3 PP goals. He has developed into a point a game player.

Look behind you.
Us GEO fans are now cheering for any team that plays against the teams in our division, we need all the help we can get, they did win last night though against the NYI, fack that is almost like beating up your little sister as they are not doing well either.
Still giving them 20 games before I really worry.

Edit: Two in a row, the parade route is being planned.

What Vegas has done so far this year is nothing short of unbelievable. They are the biggest story in the NHL this year, maybe in all of professional sports. They are an expansion team, playing with guys who have never played together before, most of whom have no experience or were not wanted by their former teams. They are playing their 4th string goalie and all he did last night was save 27 and post a .932 save %. This is a miraculous development. Nobody could have asked for things to go any better. Right now Vegas sweeps GM and Coach of the Year awards. It’s not even close at the moment.

I attended a couple of hockey games recently at the ACC and fans i spoke with all praised the Leafs' acquisition of Marleau. Number one is his leadership qualities, which the Leafs badly need on this still very young team. He's also one of the best skaters in the league and he's the Cal Ripken of NHL hockey players in terms of longetivity. His addition did mean that the likes of Josh Leivo and Kaspari Kapanen rarely play, but things will eventually all even out.

I expect the Leafs to make a trade within the next few days. They'll likely unload a forward or two. I'm still not sure who or what they'll get back in return.

Look behind you.
The GEO won 8-2 last night, beating a fourth string goalie though, a win is a win.

Lagace was relieved of his duties after allowing 7 goals and in came Vegas’s 5th string goalie. The Vegas goalie situation is catching up to them and is threatening to put a damper on a great start for this franchise. Anyone know when Fleury and Subban and Dansk will be ready?

Word is that Carey Price could be available. Would Vegas dare acquire him although they already have M-A Fleury's contract on board?
