In the movie «Pretty woman», Julia Roberts and Richard Gere have this exchange:
What do you want ?
What do you do ?
Everything, but I don't kiss on the mouth.
When I first saw the movie (years ago...) I did not understand the importance of kissing in intimacy. I now do and consider passionate kissing and essential part of intimate encounters. I know that I am not alone and good writers have glorified the act of kissing.
« Il en est des baisers comme des confidences : ils s'attirent, ils s'accélèrent, ils s'échauffent les uns par les autres . »
Dominique Vivant Denonce
« Tes baisers sont plus ardents que la flamme, et plus doux que le miel. »
Anatole France (1844-1924)
My recent encounters were with the best kisser I ever met, I could literally kiss her for hours, alternating between softness, tongue teasing, pseudo-avoidance, biting and deep passion.
Although I understand why « kissing on the mouth » is reluctant to some for many reasons, It constitutes an essential component of human intimacy for me.
