It's honestly very depressing, but nothing that surprises me. I participate in discussions like these on this forum once in a while because I feel like it's important for clients to know the truth and have a nuanced perspective. Maybe that makes me annoying. It is incredibly disheartening and exhausting sometimes, but I feel more detached right now than I did a few months ago. I understand that some people won't change
We have a few who would benefit from the restorative powers of a walk in the forest.

I confess that I pull out Google translate sometimes when doing Duolingo. I just NEED that perfect score sometimes, even if it brings shame upon my house.
Traveling to Spanish speaking countries has challenged me

me too .. so good when travelling with someonewho's fluent tho it places the onus on them to organize everything.
Not just that I just believe it's respectful to know a languages

Mine is German. Spanish is easy if you know French tbh
certainly a plus, and def appreciated in my experience.
I spent 30 years learning spanish (my mother tongue is french). I speak it well enough to have a decent conversation with locals. However I hate it when people say it's easy. I would admit it is easier when you already know french but definitly not easy unless you have a gift for learning new languages which is not my case.

I guess that's what I meant. Mainly I mean that structurally the Latin languages are similar and so understanding sentence structure is easier but yeah you def need to have to be decent at learning new languages.
