I have not posted much on this and Carney but here it is. The Liberals are on the verge of getting a majority, not by elections but by backroom sneaky deals (floor crossers). They have 171 seats now and need one more to get the majority. The latest MP to cross the floor is Marilyn Gladu. We cannot prove it but anyone with any brains will understand that Carney bribed these MPs to cross the floor. They will not admit it. Never has this been seen in Canadian politics and is the biggest sabotage to democracy. The constituents voted for a party, they did not vote for a different party then their MP decided to cross parties. In my book whenever a MP wants to change parties that should trigger an automatic byelection giving their constituents the opportunity to decide if they want their MP to change parties. This is disgusting and Canadians are not bothered by this. For the first time in Canadian history your vote did not matter, Carney will not get a majority because he was given this privilege by the voters but by floor crossers and backroom deals. This is incredibly disturbing and disgusting. This is not fair or respectful to the voting system of Canada and the voters.
At this point, I would welcome a civil war. Not out of chaos, but out of principle. When one side believes it is acceptable to seize power by bribing MPs, crossing the floor, and outright betraying the people who elected them, it has already abandoned any claim to democratic legitimacy. You cannot hollow out democracy from within and still pretend to stand for it. If power is taken through corruption and disregard for the public will, then it should surprise no one when power is challenged through means just as undemocratic. Once the rules are broken, the moral high ground disappears with them.
As predicted Carney got his majority, not by an election but by backroom deals and bribes via floor crossing. Never in the history of Canada we had that much floor crossings in a short period of time. Those MPs did what was best for them, not for the party or the country. Carney will continue Trudeau's agenda by continuing big deficits and will likely open the floodgates to mass immigration. Remember he got a garbage like Mark Wiseman in his cabinet who is one of the founders of the Century Initiative that wants 100 million people by 2100. The lobby group is a corporate lobby group for the rich. We will see the biggest gap between rich and poor the likes we never seen only seen in third world countries. Housing will become something for the rich and homelessness will explode to new highs. This is what people in Eastern Canada wants since they got tunnel vision and see only one thing, Trump and how they do not want to be like the US and hate Trump. To be followed, another four years of driving Canada deeper in the hole that it was already under by Trudeau.
Canada is fucked and Liberal voters will regret everything soon enough. The amount of bullshit legislation they are about to pass is going to be insane. Prepare for double-digit unemployment rates, double-digit inflation, the end of hobbying of any kind, and the end of any freedoms we had. The only thing that will start is more taxation, more censorship, and more propaganda.

Post national state is an example of oxymoronic expression. Nationality in the modern western world is defined by the citizenship, i.e. belonging to a certain state. Post national state expands the principle of belonging to almost anybody. So, it is not fare that only so-called Canadian citizens pay federal taxes. All prospective newcomers should start paying them too or federal taxes need to be abolished altogether in all territory used to be called Canada.
Post-national state is another way to say open borders, multicultarism and globalism. Trudeau was a far-left wacko and wanted open borders and transferring powers of the country to the UN (another far-left wacko organization).
Although i was under the impression this thread is about federal politics and the healthcare system is under provincial and it is weird that you don't know that. This has nothing to do with Carney, so you're cursing the totally wrong people, and this is also kind of a you problem.
I got two same day appointments in separate clinics one week apart last December and got an ultrasound and a ct scan within days of each appointment. I didn't have to pay for private or do any magic. I just figured out how to use the resources and tools at my disposal properly.
For your information, it's very easy to get a same day or next day appointment if you don't have a family doctor or your family doctor can't see you soon enough.
-You go on the rvsq website, enter your info and try to get an appointment with your doctor.
-When you get a response back that says none is available, it gives you the option to check a different doctor in the same clinic so you go ahead and request that.
-When that comes back saying none is available, then it offers to look for any doctor that is not in that clinic, so you request that next.
**Sometimes you may get an available appointment right away.
- if you do, don't think about it and click on it and book it right away. It will hold it for you for 2min while you finish the process but that takes no longer than 30sec. So if for whatever reason you're not happy with that option and want to try your luck, you simply release it and it will go back into the "pool" for someone else to grab it.
**More likely, you won't get any available appointments on your first search.
-That's ok, refresh and try again 30 seconds later. And then do it again until you see an appointment. Book it right away.
-This method has worked great for me on weekdays, in the morning around 9-10am. In about 10min I had an appointment for 2-3hrs later. I haven't tested other times in the day to see if they're better or worse but I know clinics update with availability constantly so the results are real time and get added throughout the day.
-Weekend is much more difficult when you're trying for the weekend on the weekend. But I've been able to book on a Thursday or Friday for a Saturday appointment. I've also had luck at night for the following day however I don't think there's any point doing the refresh method at 11pm as I doubt there are that many available appointments being added at that time.
-If you try around 8:00-8:30pm, that might work also because a lot of clinics open up spots for the next day at that time and i would assume that many add them on there as well.
Keep your money for when you need a specialist. This isn't where you need to spend on private. Being resourceful is still free and now you know how to get an appointment.
-Also, 811 can help you get an appointment or point you to a resource you might not know.
If you don't try, and just got straight to ER or private, then you won't ever get an appointment in a public clinic. That's not the system's fault. The big issue getting care in Quebec is when you need non life-threatening specialist care or surgery. There are huge issues with the healthcare system and the CAQ deserves so much blame for their part ruining a lot of shit in this province. But regular or urgent non life-threatening care is not a problem yet in/near Montreal if you use what's available.
It's always worked for me. I've used rvsq since 2019, I've booked probably close to 10 times. Only time i failed was on a Saturday night for Sunday, which is kind of predictable. I waited until Monday morning and had an appointment later that day. Good luck.

People reposting his stupid "statistics": I've spent a few minutes in the past actually going on Stats Canada and looking at the fearmongering shit PP and his flunkies post. Most of the time, it's really stupid shit like taking a tiny part of statistics that make it look the way they want to look.
Meaning, if it's sunny all week but raining on the weekend before going back to sunshiny on Monday, the picture will look a lot different if you zoom in to show only sunny Friday and then rain Saturday and Sunday than it would look if you showed an 8 or 10 day period. I am aware that healthcare is a provincial concern. The poor state of the healthcare system in Canada is a direct result of the federal government's immigration policy under Justin Trudeau, Carney's predecessor.
He created a massive problem for healthcare, education and housing, among other things, with his unvetted immigration and open borders policy. The SOB needs to answer for his treacherous decisions and the dire straits he has put many Canadians in.
Is this what the federal government does? The provincial government was begging the SOB to close the border, and he would not listen. Live with it now, we are in the throes of the post-national state.

My Italian family didn’t come here running street-level scams or some makeshift “La Cosa Nostra” Fugazi operation. They assimilated, learned how to read / write French and English, embraced Canadian culture and values, took part in local traditions like cabane à sucre, became hockey fans, and worked hard for every single penny they earned.
A VERY stark contrast from today’s unvetted and entitled imports who get showered with handouts, mooch off our tax dollars, and get put on pedestals to help secure future Liberal votes while contributing jack shit. On the non-Italian side of my family, my indigenous (Mohawk) grandmother didn’t walk around sniffing aerosol cans, acting like the world owed her reparations or believed that modern countries should stop having laws, borders, or standards altogether. I guess I’m a bit of a hybrid of sorts. It takes different perspectives and life experiences to understand all sides of things. Speaking and exchanging ideas with different people isn’t always easy for everyone, but I’ve been fortunate to grow up in a diverse “party mix” of a family.
If you ever stepped outside your “everyone who disagrees is evil” bubble and talked to real people instead of recycling the same opinions, you’d realize that plenty of immigrants and everyday people share these views. The world isn’t divided into “people who agree with you” and “evil racists”. Nobody cares anymore about constantly tiptoeing around hurt feelings. People are truly fed up with having normal disagreements turned into accusations and emotional overreactions.
There are tons of immigrants themselves who have HAD IT with current immigration policies, poor vetting, abuse of systems, money laundering, fraud, etc.

You are a little bit delusional. The Federal government provides funding to the provinces for healthcare, not the entire amount but a portion of it. Even though healthcare is managed provincially the Federal government controls the borders and Trudeau caused this mess by opening the floodgates to mass immigration and do not forget the hundreds of thousands of asylum seekers that are entering. The refugees are given priority in the healthcare system for both services and a family doctor. The staff at the clinics and hospitals confirmed this to me. Nice how you use the same tactics used by Communist governments to label someone anti-immigrant just because they stated a fact. The same thing Trudeau did to the Freedom Convoy truckers. As for your case, I myself and many others struggled to get appointments so I dunno what you are talking about. Many are waiting years to have a family doctor while refugees are given one in priority. Weird government. The Trudeau government has imported the third world you will become the third world and Carney continues the same agenda. These people they brought are mostly here for the freebies and then say how great their country is. The refugees crowd the healthcare system because most got so much free time they can spend hours at the hospitals because they get it all free.
