Alright. This could be fun. AMA (ask me anything) is a popular Reddit thing were random peoples can ask others about a particular subject.

So i want to open myself the same way here on MERB. Obviously some questions will be off limit (Merb rules, obvious privacy etc) but ill try my best to answer all questions from the most candids to the most technical.

For beginners in the field or old timers

Everything in Merb rules is allowed.

And both SPs and clients can ask too.

I just want to start by saying how much I've enjoyed all of your posts. You’re truly an excellent role model on this platform.Here's a sensitive question that agency owners often dislike: Have you ever gone directly to a service provider, bypassing the agency without their knowledge?

Okay HM, since you have been around as long as I have and has read his fair share of reviews, who may understand why this is wrong, my question is: What do you think about members showing little to no respect for SPs privacy when it comes to writing a review and including personal information without their consent?

My take on this is, you can open up a whole load of trouble for an SP by sharing this information with everyone. If a client becomes infatuated and starts to stalk the girl, we have just fed him information to help him in his quest by letting him know where she is from, where she goes to school and other items that could be hurtful.

Also, another scenario, by including certain information, friends, boyfriends and family members can piece things together and figure out who and where she may work. You share where a girl goes to school, where she's from, describe a certain tattoo on a specific place on her body or hidden scars that are known to these people, this is a problem.

Many of these girls may be stars to some of us, but they are not movie stars or rock stars and not need to be in the public eye in this manner. Nor should they ever be ashamed of their profession, but in reality, they do want to keep their private life away from this life and we should respect this.

Some members may understand what I am talking about, because they may of known girls in these scenarios and like I mentioned, some words written can be more hurtful then physical abuse.

This my opinion, take as you may, I am not a white knight, I just like to think outside the box sometimes and to put myself in someone else's shoes for just a minute or two, how will my review effect this individual and does everyone really need to know this information, or am I just adding it to make myself look good in peoples eyes who are in reality, total strangers to me.

So I ask again HM, what is your opinion?

that's been a decreasing issue perhaps these past 4 years. i've noticed one chick who has been with an agency for about 3 yrs now, left it for another, then went back this year, already had published a contact # on her X all the while. in her case the agencies accept it or really.... don't know?

another ocassion earlier this year, a agency chic gave me her digits saying she can just come by.

same last year/summer by another one in another agency. she asked me for mine.

early last year another one gave me hers.

these ladies are ready and willing to bypass, forget about us.

@LeDodo

I had a quick look at the first post and i would say that for the most part yes. I didn't agreed with everything that was listed back then and i would probably still disagree with a few points, but for the most part its still good advices. For instance the "pay before being a bad sign". Its been discussed ad nauseum in other threads and some known indies ask for payment in advance, and they are great providers. But if its a shady LL ads, you may be more careful... Not gonna go point by point here but a thread like that is worth "necro-rising" if its something you want to look into.

Thanks. And to answer your question yes but its a little complicated so ill explain. Some providers switch agencies or go back and forth between agencies and indies over the years and at some point they may give you personal contacts to book them if they enjoy you as a client. If i am in such situation with a provider (known her for a while, have her personal contacts), unless she tell me otherwise i will continue booking her directly despite if she join an agency. For instance at the moment Christina Di Milano can be booked at Luxury but i known her for years and she even come to my appartement in my town, so obviously i contact her directly. She also tour other cities as indy so its not like she is "bound to the agency". But i don't actively try to bypass agencies and i certainly never try to "save some $" (the agency cut for instance). I mean even if i was to book someone privately who also work in an agency, i would still give her the agency ammount in full. She can enjoy the bonus for herself. But i respect fully the agencies and their staff so im not trying to "remove them on purpose" or anything.

@Thor Jr

Merb has its own rules about providers privacy. For instance we can't share a personal social media profile or a provider's real name publicly and its perfectly normal. I don't think i ever read much on what you describe like "where she goes to school" or something like that. When it comes to tatoos or scars, well i understand your point of view but it can also be a detail that matters for a client. Obviously i wouldn't say exactly what the tatoo is, but if a provider would have a face tatoo for instance that is not visible on the agency pics or is not mentioned, i think its a detail that is valid to share because for certain clients (like myself), its not something that we are fond. I mean im not putting an X on any provider that would have one but depend on size and other factors. A scar can also be a turn off for certain clients (its not for me, if anything i actually find it attractive but thats another story for another time) so i think it can be worth mentioning. But if the provider specifically tell me to not mention something, i won't. Ultimately i think you can have a balance of a good useful review without risking the providers privacy/safety.
