Je ne suis jamais allé au India Rosa sur Wellington mais je connais celui sur Mont-Royal depuis plusieurs années déjà et je peux attester que c’est une excellente cuisine. Mon seul point négatif est que je trouve les portions un peu minimales.

Another nice little place for Indian food (more intimate than India Rosa) : https://www.instagram.com/darbarmtl/

My current favs:

Il Miglio (amazing pasta) : https://www.instagram.com/ilmigliomontreal/
Kitano Shokudo (not to be mistaken with Bistro Otto) : https://www.instagram.com/kitanoshokudo/ (gotta try the Uni Carbonara)
Oncle Lee : https://www.instagram.com/oncleleemtl/ (New chinese restaurant from the Bouillion Bilk group)
Cabaret L'enfer : https://www.instagram.com/cabaret.lenfer/ (fine dining, but wow... just a wow experience)

If you want french brasserie food, was here recently : https://www.instagram.com/casavantmontreal/

Amazing food to my taste. Fantastic cocktails, but only down side is they only have bio wine, which I really don't like. Perhaps I just haven't yet found one I could enjoy.

I'm really enjoying what these young chefs are putting out (Plaza Montreal, bar St-Denis, Salle climatisé, vin mon lapin, etc...)

After a long 4h drive, I arrived into town at around 10:30-11, craving some good greasy food. Schwartz, Green Spot, New Systeme, Chalet BBQ all close early.
Montreal is starting to feel like a village with these early schedules :(

Where do you guys go when its late and you just want a quick bite without going to an A&W or McD ?

Discovered Shawarmaz on a recent trip, and it has been a go to quickie for me ever since. They are open till late, and can get randomly busy at all hours of the day, but lines move quickly.

I get the wrap, and the way they grill it to provide a crispy crunch, it really hits the spot. Wish I could get one right now.

A bit random but my favorite since I was a kid is Daou. Lebanese. There are 2 of them. The best one is the original one Faillon/Lajeunesse and the other one is in VSL on Marcel Laurin.

Every single birthday I ask to go there (Going this weekend, my birthday is on Tuesday haha) It's not a fancy place but it's sooo good. There are pictures of Celine Dion & René Angelil everywhere. I guess they were patrons a loong time ago. LOL

Anyway, it's delish. Vegetarian options.

Also Chu Chai on Saint Denis used to be really good. But I haven't been in a long time.
