Does anyone watch the Stanley Cup finale ? Crazy game last night, Vegas leading 4 - 0 after 2nd period and Caroline thing the game in 3rd.
Watching these games, I tell myself that the HABS are far from having a team to beat one of those 2 teams.
My nepfew reminded me me that the HABS won against TB in the 7th game thanks to 2 lucky goals. Also, DOBES stole the second série agains Buffalo.
The Habs with his light players would be thrown out of the ice ring by the heavy players of Caroline and Vegas teams.
Last night Carolina had 2 own goals - the winning goal in OT:
The other own goal was by Walker who tipped in a pass from Marner and it became the first goal of a rapid fire hat trick. It was unbelievable:
I personally think Marner should get an assist on that first goal and if anyone should be credited with a goal it should be Walker for tipping it in.
Montreal is wondering why all of this help wasn't forthcoming from the Hurricane in their series. It's most likely due to Vegas luck.
And as a result we may be hearing this song playing a lot very soon:

Despite a very strong start and 2 goals dismissed, the Knights didnt deserve the win last night. The way they lost the 4-0 lead and a very lucky OT winning goal makes me still believe the Canes will win the cup!
Starting in the 3rd and in OT, Carolina managed to put Vegas on their toes with a steady forecheck and kept buzzing around their goalies crease, to the point where Hart looked seriously shaken! You can bet Brind’Amour took good notes about this.

Losing a 4 goal lead and then winning on an own goal is not exactly a great look for Vegas, but I feel like if luck is ever going to favor any team, it will be the one for Vegas. This is in the cards.
Random thought but I'm not a big conspiracy theory guy but one conspiracy theory I believe in is that Gary Bettman rigged the NHL so Canadian teams can never win the Stanley Cup.
Whether its thru paying off the refs, the coaches, the linesmen, the GMs, the players and even the Zamboni guy!
Who knows...maybe Gary Bettman made a secret deal behind closed doors with Connor McDavid, paid him off to give a half ass effort.
He probably said, "Hey Connor, here's an extra $10 million in your pocket if you don't try as hard in the playoffs!"
