My understanding (base on an SP subreddit) is that scammers pay random models to do LL type adds. Then these pics are used in every cities.
Its to have peoples sign to OF. They have the models shoot a few "sets" but then they will recycle the pics for months if not more.
All to make digital $. Its never about meetups. This is for all these random ads with models without numbers.
As for AI replacing humans...
Well its tricky. If AI get so performant it can mimick perfectly humans then yes i could see it taking over in porn. Obviously regulations may need to be taken...
But photographers will always have a job to capture genuine moments be it civilian or in journalism etc
