Early in Biden’s disaster-laden term, his Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed economy-crushing liberty-limiting rules that would theoretically eliminate carbon dioxide emissions from the nation’s electricity sector by 2040. [emphasis, links added]
U.S. power plant owners warned these plans were unworkable, relying too heavily on costly technologies that are not yet proven at scale.
Additionally, America’s car customers are opting not to purchase one of the magic solutions to the nonproblem: electric vehicles.
The market has decided that EVs aren’t worth owning until there is a charging infrastructure network that can accommodate the entire American public, an electric grid that can handle capacity, enough natural resources to build models at a moderate price, and technology that doesn’t ignite when it gets wet or won’t start when it gets too cold.

Many people believe the " Environmental solutions " will ruin economies, even Biden voters. I am all for reducing fossil fuel use but not at the time line given which is driven by media / political panic.
Politicians love to work with fear be it climate change, covid or those nasty Russians, it gives them an open checkbook. Biden and Trudeau work with that, it gets them votes.

Many people believe in Bigfoot too. It's not fear but awareness of the dangers of climate change, a world-wide deadly viral pandemic, and the imperialism of Putin an authoritarian killer and war criminal.
Yes, the end all of mankind that killed about 8,000 people under 70 in Canada with cocid in their system, most not because of covid. It ruined the economy of many countries when an alternative could have been used. We knew after a short time it effected the older generation, we could have kept all over 70 at home, brought them food and took care of their bills and let the rest continue without shutdown but no, one cure for all and ruin a country. As for Putin, the war would be over by now if the US kept their nose out of it but there is not a war the US does not like unless it is on their soil. Climate change, have heard the same doomsday since the 70's and we are still alive and doing well. Yes some instances have happened but we are advancing, no need to continue to rush it.
I have kids which are doing well as they are older, would be worried if I had teenagers due to leftwing politics not climate change, some virus or Putin.
