Need suggestion

I need to stay at a Best Western in Montreal (don't ask why...I am not paying but it HAS to be a Best Western).

Which one is the better one? The BW Europa on Drummond or the BW Ville-Marie on Sherbrooke?

And, most important question, which one is the friendliest to SPs?? I understand the Europa has a elevator key requirement after 9pm.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Can't you have your employer pay you the what it would have paid for a Best Western and you pay the difference to stay at the hotel of your choice. If it's not too late, get on priceline, hotwire, etc. to get the room that will make your hobbying more enjoyable. And if you have co-workers who are traveling with you, you don't have to worry about being seen by them with an SP (or an SP leaving your room).

Personally, i'd stay at the Best Western Europa on Drummond. The location is unbeatable & my favorite breakfast restaurant (Chez Cora) is in the same building. There are more & more hotels that now require a key to use the elevators, so i don't really this as a big deal anymore.

I usually mention this in its own thread, but we've been cautioned that there are already to many hotel threads. So, I decided this one had some views and postings.....so why not. Travel & Leisure publishes their 500 top hotels every year. Montreal usually has at least one representative. Not this year. Only ones mentioned for Quebec are Auberge Saint-Antoine and the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. Since this magazine has a heavy US readership, it seems appropriate that the exchange rate is a significant factor in its lastest analysis with only 10 total listings for Canada out of 500 worldwide.

What does Motel Excel charge for their suites? It says 139-169...but seems like the kind of place that can be talked down.

Also is it far from downtown and the metro?

Merci.
