....only to come back with more hunger for SPs than ever before. I havn't called an SP for 2 months now but I really feel a hunger for them now more than before I stopped!

Due to a medical condition far beyond my control, I was unable to participate in "adult activities" for about 8 months. I was a bit anxious when I returned to the hobby last month, and appropriately warned one of my favorite SP's that she would be my first after such a long absence!

Previously I abstained for quite a bit longer, but that too was not of my choosing...

I went on a sabbatical for just under a year & it killed my appetite for sps. Of course, having casual sex (with non-sps) during that time helped satisfy my sexual hunger. Today, i'm down to 1 sp per trip. What can i say, i got fussy & got tired of throwing away my hard-earned money, forever gone & nothing left to show for it but memories.

And when you get older & your memory isn't as good as it once was & you start having trouble recalling your encounters, that's when you realize how stupid it was to spend all that money on seeing escorts whose name you possibly can't even remember today.

The same could be said about any vacation anyone ever took. I think memories are very important in someone's life.

As far as taking a sabbatical from sex (about 2 years) I had to, not for the same reasons as mentioned above (some of you know) and I survived but then I was not hobbying at the time.

Now I really can't see myself stop, it has become a nice part of my life. But you never know I might have to one day.

I have built some nice memories some with regrets: Sp retired, some still very vivid in my mind. If my memory fades so be it.

.Nov'2006: SP do not want to see me through agency. So I decided to stop. (Honor code)

.May'2007: called the same SP through agency to surprise her. she propose long-term plan
therefore, no more hobbying for me since then. shit happens

that's why I'm been in the Lounge more often (causing trouble with the help of SCupR... )
but no, I won't restart hobbying until 100% sure I will not hurt this girl feeling. I've been
hobbying these years to prepare for any future urge...
for me, it is now a thing of the pass.

Never stopped hobbying and never will, my problem is that i live just two hours away from the Mecca of hobbyland and whenever i get the urge i just call in sick at work and off i go, those bastard doctors who invented cialis are also to blame for me hobbying whenever i want, instead of putting their efforts into finding a cure for cancer or other more serious diseases the find a cure for erectile dysfunction , the day i stop is the day i die.

To add to my post, there were times where i've wished i'd leave hobbying completely & get back in a relationship once again. I've been in two long-term relationships in my lifetime (all prior to hobbying)....3 & 4 years respectively. However, this 'hobbying' has made me very lazy socially in that i got tired of going through the process of asking someone out & then courting her when it was much easier to simply pick up the phone & have someone sent to me in order to get laid fast. At the same time, meet people & some of these 'persons' were quite interesting & i wanted to meet them again & again.

But more importantly, i'm not certain i could remain monogamous in a relationship. This wasn't a problem back in the 90's when i was involved in several relationships, but hobbying has got me used to a polygamous sex life. It's fun to get to meet new people & have different sex partners once in a while. Personally, i now get bored having sex with the same person (sp or non-sp) over and over again. I think the most times i've ever repeated with an sp was 5 times. You eventually catch on to her 'routine' & it gets monotoneous & you start to look elsewhere for a new adventure.

These past couple of years have seen me reduce the number of sps i'd see annually more and more. I'm now down to one (and sometimes two) sps per 5-day trip. One girl once asked me why i wasn't seeing a whole bunch of sps on my trips anymore. Other than getting tired of this scenery & feeling like i was throwing money away foolishly, i told her that there were a few people i knew who had been in this business longer than i have been......and to be totally honest, i didn't want to become like them. Like an sp who wishes she doesn't remain in this business forever (or past the age of 30) like some of her cohorts, i don't want to remain a JOHN for the rest of my life. The reasons some people wind up becoming life-long JOHNS vary, but it usually involves loneliness & sexual addiction & deep down, many of those people wish they'd be normal & not see sps anymore and/or just a couple per trip (and hopefully reduce their number of excursions to Mtl per year).

Fifty years from now I'll likely be dead, laying in my grave in deep remorse that I didn't spend more of my hard earned money when I had the chance.

Last summer while in Toronto, a buddy of mine & myself were having a drink outside & we had just crossed paths with two beggars. My buddy had given each of them $5. I told my friend: "Isn't it awful that both of us have spent the past few years throwing our money away by whoring around while on the other hand, millions of people on this planet which includes our own countries are practically starving to death?" My friend replied that i was absolutely correct in my assessment & he'd often get these guilty feelings over the years. That night, he cancelled his apppointment with one of Toronto's finest & he came to the movies with me. "Why did you cancel?", i asked him later. "Well, to be honest, the talk we had earlier in regards to throwing our money away while so many people & families live in poverty made me feel guilty."

I can have my fun and also be charitable. I have supported several children thru world vision for years now. There is a balance between having fun and helping others but no i can't save the world and i am not going to try

I understand that people dont' always see eye-to-eye & i might be totally wrong with my views & it's possible I might change my mind one day. A few years ago, i'd basically tell people to go fuck off & mind their own business since it was none of theirs in the way i chose to spend the money that i worked hard to earn. As for my friend i referred to in my 'Toronto' statment, he's been hobbying for well over 30 years & spent maybe around a million $ doing it (just an estimate). Only in the last year or so has he begun to feel remorse. So who knows....it's quite possible that in 10-20 years, we'll all feel like he does. And indeed, he has always donated money to charities, including Africa. He's probably the most generous person i've ever encountered in my entire life. People change, circumstances change, etc.

I stopped hobbying since last June since I've got a girlfriend. Will tried to remain faithfull until we break up. That is hard to do since Eleganza has so many beautiful ladies. The last person I saw was Nikki from this agency. For now, Montreal and Germany, is off limit.

Just to be safe, for her safety and mine, I do use condom with my present girlfriend.
