I was just wondering if you guys in Canada can open those ESPN videos I posted? I have heard that you may need a VPN in Canada to view ESPN videos but I am not sure if that's correct or not. If it's correct I will post videos from other media but ESPN is generally my go to on sports videos.

No we cant see the videos, but replays are also available on different platforms. Suzuki is showing his tremendous vision and skills this season, watching his laser beam passes is amazing.

I completely agree. We have now seen a number of lightning strike passes from Suzuki right into the blade of Caulfield's stick and on each occasion it has led to key goals. That goal by Caulfield was so on the money he didn't have to cradle or gather it but unleashed a quick release and scored. Had he had to cradle or gather it, if you watch the replay, Philly goalie Carter saw it coming and reacted but was a millisecond late. If Caulfield hesitated even for one second, Carter makes the save and GAME OVER.

Suzuki and Caulfield are major studs and that goal was BIG TIME. Reminded me of the Derek Sanderson to Bobby Orr Stanley Cup Flying goal in 1970 SC which was also a perfectly timed pass from Sanderson who was behind the net. Suzuki and Caulfield are winners! Same as these guys:

Monty played great once again two nights ago. It makes me wonder why the french tv media constantly say that although he’s currently playing very well he’ll never be a #1 goalie in this league but has a good chance to be a #2 goalie on most teams. Don’t they realize that he’s partly the reason why the habs are currently a middle-of-the pack team just a few points away from being a playoffs team? Just because they got him for nothing off the waiver wire doesn’t mean shit! The great Dominik Hasek only reached greatness once he escaped Chicago. He was a nobody before he joined the Sabres & the same thing could be said about so many former great goaltenders who found their game once they matured and/or found new homes. Monty may turn out to be a diamond in the rough!

On another note some habs fans who have agreed to go with the rebuild should be worried right now when they see what’s happening in Ottawa & other places like Edmonton & Buffalo. Ottawa is still a bad hockey team & this was supposed to be the year they were finally back to being a playoff team. They suck. Edmonton may miss the playoffs again. Buffalo is back to playing like they did in the past after an encouraging start. I look at the habs & right now it looks like Martin St.Louis is running a country club. There is no accountability. Players are yuking it up at practice. It seems they only win when their goaltenders stand on their heads. Cole Caulfield is a goal scorer but often looks like he’s the biggest floater in the league & allergic to backchecking & smart defensive hockey. And when they do win games its often when veterans like Monahan & Hoffman are scoring. The young defencemen look promising but how promising can they be when David Savard is your best defenceman?

For the habs to have a better chance at contending again years from now & for the rebuild not end up being a bust like so many other teams they MUST figure out a way to absolutely end up drafting either first, second or third in the upcoming entry draft. Hopefully first overall. But it looks like it won’t happen & will likely end up missing the playoffs & draft somewhere outside the top 8. And can Martin St.Louis actually coach like a real NHL coach once the easy-going country club atmosphere needs to come to an end & fans expect to see resuls?

Habs win again! Habs beat Luke Richardson’s Blackhawks by a score of 3-2 in a OT shootout! Habs are now 12th in the overall standings tied with a bunch of other teams! Habs won’t make the playoffs but will make it close! Go Habs Go!

Everything is just fine here there is very little drama or controversy, like goaltenders are stopping the puck, coaches/management have been excellent since their hiring and Caufield is playing phenomenal hockey on one of the best line in the NHL so far this season.

The Habs are certainly getting better value for the money being paid to their duo than the Leafs are from their duo. I really think we need to focus on some stats that measure production in ratio to the salary being paid for the production. In a salary capped league, all that matters is the bang you are getting for your buck. Suzuki/Caulfield are probably the highest production value in the league in as compared to the salary being paid for that production. If someone can identify a more cost efficient scoring duo in the NHL, name them. Maybe Hughes-Bratt on the Devils?
