The world's oldest profession has many, many synonyms. Some neutral, some derogatory, some flowery. A term I see a lot around parts is "SP" for "service provider", but it's too matter-of-fact for my tastes and makes me automatically think of Bell/Videotron. The sort of term to avoid tipping off an overzealous cop. My favorite just so happens to be "lady of the evening", a modified version of the more widespread "lady of the night" that I became enamored with ever since hearing it uttered by Bubbles on Trailer Park Boys (in a dialog with Ray, who had several such ladies in his truck). So how about you, what are some terms that you prefer employing?

While I quite like 'croshabell' I go with companion.
