Every service road, street, or boulevard going towards Montreal from Laval will be jammed. The 15 is toast, Cure Labelle, Laurentides, the 19, 125, 25 all jammed. Should be interesting.

Good luck to everyone living North of Montreal.

Will it be worse than A20 east?
I don't know the traffic numbers, but I think it will be very close if not worse. The 640 and 440 highways are not very wide and both have horrible interchanges to get onto the 15 South. Having all the traffic from St-Jerome, Mirabel, St-Eustache, a good chunk of Laval, Blainville, and a handful of others all funnel through the 15 or further east is going to be a disaster for both Montreal and Laval. The metropolitan is already chaotic, now it's going to have an influx of traffic from the 15, 19,125, and 25. Both directions will be saturated during both rush hours. This highway closure will wreak havoc on Montreal as much as it will in Laval.

Actually after writing all of this, I'm fairly certain this will be worse than the 20.

What else is new. Montreal has had never ending construction since the past 15 years. This kind of forces ppl to use public transit which is what the politicians want. All this never ending construction discourages me to drive to stripclubs.

The 15 is already shit. This will make it way worse and the congestion when it gets down to the 40 will be retarded. Don't know if it will be worse than the bridge construction was. All the north/south Laval arteries will be fucked though, with people wanting to get down to St Martin and Samson, which will each in turn be disasters. It's gonna suck, no doubt about it.

Yep and I do not forget about tunnel Ville-Marie. This tunnel has been blocked every night since past 15 years. I want to go to 10/35, I got to get stuck in traffic to get there adding 15 mins to my commute time. I want to got to Amazones, no direct route except taking streets with traffic lights. It is worse now cuz there is construction on Viger and St-Urbain. So going to Robert-Bourrassa to get to the Bonaventure Expressway you get stuck in traffic. De Lorimier got construction now. The street is one way now so getting to the Jacques-Cartier bridge means taking detours.
