I use an app to contact agencies, but some agencies know that I am using the app. How do they know it?

They can verify it, I know most Indy and agencies do so to ensure that the person contacting is not a time waster. A lot of men will text from an app just to harass providers and disappear in thin air.

They most likely use an app called TrueCaller, which is known to be highly invasive by uploading all your contacts from your phone, Google account (gmail contacts), your device digital fingerprints etc...

You can have them unlist your number via : https://www.truecaller.com/unlisting but understand that it may impact your ability to reach SPs and agencies.

This is why I use a physical burner phone and Google Account.

Why the Google account? What do you mean by that? Email account?

A method of registering with the service asks for Google/Gmail access to get contacts and email history (this might have changed since I tried it). The same way it gathers the contacts and call logs in your phone and SMS. So its one thing if you got it... but imagine an agency or SP using it and keeping a John's contact and leaking all that to the truecaller servers.

Of course, if you don't care about privacy/security you got nothing to stress about. But with the increase in voice phishing (maliciously gathering voice samples) and the advancement of AI... won't be long before people start getting phone calls from an AI powered conversation impersonating friends and relatives to extort some form of payment. Who knows, this could also be used to bypass voice recognition security systems being developped for banking.

... TikTok is even worst.

While I do understand the privacy issue, you need to put yourself in the providers shoes. The risk is bigger for her than for you. A reputable provider will never risk her brand over your silly phone number. She will not care. If you are a good respectful client, not violent, not pushy and do not assault ladies, you have nothing to worry about.

The woman has to blindly trust that you are going to come to her place and be a normal person. If she were to be assaulted or robbed, your phone number is the only thing she can pass to the competent authorities.
