When I started with Merb i wrote whatever I thought. It’s anonymous. Who cares. But since 2 months I use merb to talk to SP’s that i would like to see. I even sometimes setup appointments through Merb. Fuck the anonymity, i’ve had some of the best appointments of my life these past few months. Now everytime i post. I actually reread and sometimes erase things just in case i reach out to an sp and she checks my last posts. I actually am alright with this as i am now reacting or posting like i would in real life. I don’t speak my mind. I am very political and i try not to rub anybody the wrong way. Just curious on how others use merb

I am a very direct person, not politicaly correct and anti-SJW BS overall. So usually i speak my mind but sometimes i do restrain myself a bit.

The other day i was on twitter and i was attacked in gang by a bunch of antifa (one of the worst group there is) and at some point i just deleted all and block them all. Not because i was out of arguments or anything but because i realize there is no reasoning with these peoples, no matter what you say and i was tired of having my notification icon pop all the time. They where obviously gathering more and more peoples to attack me and it would be some very pitty stuf at times, like primary school type of insults. Not worth my time.

I prefer here to be honest in general and SPs can see who i really am. Like i said i am not always politicaly correct but i consider myself a good person and if an SP would refuse to meet me due to how i post here , well thats a bit disapointing but so be it...

As most can see, no. A few here have a " persona " which they like to follow, go with the flow as they say. I speak my mind, have my faults and do not pretend to be someone I am not to be liked by others.
I ordered a T-shirt last week with " Probably the nicest asshole you will meet " on it. Laughed when I saw it and had to have it.

I would not call myself grumpy since I am with friends, coworkers or in public I am mostly in a good mood. The new generation worries me, the Trudeau government worries me, some adults here thinking Trudeau has done good for Canada makes me shake my head.
Gotta stay away from political conversations unless I am out west.

Moderating posts can also mean not writing bad reviews because you only want to appear as having good ones. Or exaggerating reviews to get on the good side of an indy or booker. Not just about moderating what you write. It’s also about what you don’t write

STN,
I was talking about me getting grumpier and having less tolerance, but then again I am older than you, so you might catch up .

Older than I? I thought the only one was Cloudsurf.

Just to add, never noticed you grumpy, straight forward perhaps and that is not a bad thing.

I am glad you bring this up. I am guilty here. I do not exagerate reviews but i admit only having written good to great reviews. The thing is i only write a small amount of reviews. About half the time only. I have no clue why. And Since i joined merb i do not think i had a single bad encounters so that could also explain why... knocking on wood or its just i am too easy?

Cheers

I ask this question because i’ve erased bad reviews to stay on an agency’s good side. Merb is a powerfull tool. I’ve recently not written about an encounter that was to me subpar. But i have never exagerated a review. Some reviews on here are almost like erotic tales. It’s a good read

So very true ... where agencies are concerned, it's rare to see bad "reviews" written by frequent MERB posters, myself included. Most of us on the "frequent-flyer program" have no anonymity among girls and their agencies. Who needs the hastle of potential blowback that even mildly critical public remarks brings, including from other posters? And, anyway, only a cad would want to hurt a young woman's feelings, especially regarding a potentially-stressful occupation in which they are always expected to be at their very best. I've had only a few poor experiences, nothing outrageously bad, and several mediocre ones. I'd Iike to think, but maybe I'm wrong, that anything I write is not to curry favour, or provide the impression that I'm a stud [I'm not], but rather a genuine expession of a good time experienced. I tend to avoid mentioning the rest.

But is that really true Meta? I have yet to meet a girl who know who I am on merb. It has not happened yet. I very rarely give out my merb handle. And if I do 100% of the time it was at the very end of the session. And I only do so because the subject came in discussion.

Believe me Agency owner and bookers have much more to do then warn their girls about this and this merb client... They dont!

Cheers,

Well, I shouldn't speak for you or anyone else, but, yes, that has been my experience. Definitely.

Nothing to do with "warnings."

The girls (many, most, all?) read their reviews; and it's not rocket science to match review details and timing with individual clients. Agency girlfriends will even text each other, "Oh, look, you have a new review" ... or, "Hey, can you believe what so and so said about me, what an asshole, which client was that? Let me think a minute ... oh, I know who it is!" Or, maybe say to themselves, "Wow, what an amazing review! I'm going to make sure agency owner X sees this, 'cause I sure as hell am worth at least as much as agency girl Y."

Client feedback and MERB reviews are an important determinant in an agency girl getting a raise, getting full bookings, having preferred hours, or even being let go.

I think bad reviews should be done personally if deserved. Obviously there is way of saying things and not just be an asshole about it.

Personally when a girl has been in the biz for 3 years and there is barely 2 reviews and the 2 of them are "ok at best" i can of understand its probably that there was several bad encounters but the guys prefered to "accept there loss and move on"

The encounters where probably not "backpage terrible" if i can say, no robbery, services where provided, but it was mechanical, attitude may have been off, she was a clockwatcher, she tried to finish him off quick as possible, stuff like that. Guys fear repercussions and prefer not to post about it, others its just because there white knight side kick in and they don't want to hurt the girls feeling.. Not realizing they are doing both her and us a diservice as we are not aware she is not really "fun to be with" and her maybe don't realize her service is subpar.

As long as a review is genuine, polite, and called right in the middle, an agency shouldn't make a fuzz about it ...

I am assuming the original question is more about adjusting the content of your review as you write it because you know it will be read by the girl - as opposed to grammar and spelling.

I always assume my reviews will be read by the agency and the girl. In reality I know that some girls read reviews and some dont. I absolutely moderate what I write in that context. Not to stay on a girls good side or to curry favor, but simply to be considerate. If I have a negative experience, I will write a critical review, but I see no reason to be mean spirited or rude. I focus on what I think she could have done better and I also try my best to consider how the negative experience could have been either my fault or just the result of a mismatch.

I view the purpose of reviews as being one part of a larger data set for use by either merbites. My review taken with others helps members decide if a girl might be a good fit for him. Just because I didn't like a girl doesn't mean no one else will. Even if i believe a girl provides lousy service, I don't feel any need to be mean about it. I try to write my experience in a way that I would describe it if the girl was present - factual.

There was one time I had an awful session with a girl and I did not write a review. It was a girl who no longer works at XO and the problem was entirely due to the fact that I found her face to be very unattractive. She was a really nice person and she made every effort to give me good service in bed. I had zero complaints about the things she could control. My only compliant was the one thing she couldn't do anything about - her face. I saw no point in writing such a review publicly. Others had discussed her appearance to some degree, so there was adequate notice. i explained the issue to Sam and he understood. I felt like that was all that was necessary - why be cruel?

When i have a really good session, I still try to write in a way that I wouldnt be uncomfortable saying to the girl directly. It's fun to describe how one gets swept away by a great girl, but I also want to be factual for my merbites. There are some girls I have reviewed who I am totally enamored with, but I can still recognize that they aren't perfect for every hobbyist.

Be accurate, be factual, be considerate.

You are correct. I could’nt care less if people take the time to correct their grammar or not. When writing on an iphone, it’s hard to correct mistakes

Quand tu visites les mêmes femmes, tu ne fais pas nécessairement une revue à chaque fois: j'aurais l'impression qu'on m'accuserait de faire de la publicité pour elles1

Wait till you are on a laptop and do review then would be my advice ;) If a review is badly written I usually skip it.

Why not? It's all publicity anyhow and it would probably bring them more customer, which is the whole idea no?

Basic rule of thumb ... If you would not SAY it to her face, DON'T write it.

It's not rocket science, it's what is called RESPECT or in other words, "not being an asshole"

... Service, attitude, hygiene, location, clothing, makeup, hair are the only things that should be discussed in reviews.

While all the above are important, I personally want to know details of an SP's appearance, i.e. if she's fully tatted out that's a deal breaker for me; does she have a sweet gnd look or a slutty porn star look? I prefer the gnd look and I especially want to know if a SP has put on 20+ pounds since her photos were done. I have a penchant for hard bodies. I don't like taking risks and losing money getting burned. That's why I want all the details. Having said that I would not post a bad review if I just didn't have chemistry with an SP. There are several SPs whose recent reviews describe them as being "...sweet...and smiling the whole time." They go to the top of my TDL - especially if the review comes from respected MERB reviewers. I realize that everyone has different tastes in women, but I also have learned which reviewers have similar tastes as me.

Simple. You add the number of reviews to the number of years on the board then multiply by the number of friends one has and finally deduct the number of smileys of all post. If I do the equation on myself I have zero credibility on the board... Pas facile!
