I don't know if I would like it because I already know the real thing. I was fortunate enough to live in Rio de Janeiro (Copacabana) a couple of years in my 20's and I was able to surf almost everyday (Arpoador) and sometimes the week-ends too (Barre de Marica).

Today I'm too old to even think of trying it in a pool. I'm sure that my speedo is out of style anyway...

I have tried it in Florida, it was fun. The only thing about doing it here in Canada in the winter is that driving home with wet hair will kill you.
